If I was buying a console this gen I would still get Xbox because of Titanfall, Halo, and Dead Rising coupled with the facts that $100 more isn't going to break me, none of the PS4 exclusives wowed me like the above mentioned games, and the online and used games doesn't matter to me.
Don't forget the dedicated servers for Xbox live too. The PS conference wasnt impressive to me. I don't get what the hooray is about honestly.

Hopefully I can get an informitive answer without a bunch of Xbox/PS fanboy bias bullshite.
Disclaimer: I CURRENTLY OWN BOTH, SIMPLY TRYING TO DECIDE WHICH ONE I WILL GET THIS TIME AROUND
Ok so I guess I'm not quite understanding why having to have an internet connection is a bad thing??? I have my systems always connected to the internet and aside from the 6-8 hours it takes to play a new game campaign I exclusively play mulitplayer online anyway. Can someone explain to me why this is such a big deal?
I also do not buy used games as I do not buy a ton of games, currently I play NCAA football, COD, and Halo all purchased new.
It really seems to me that it will come down to exclusives (just like it always does for me) and I'll end up getting the XboxOne since it has Halo and Gears and and Titan Fall. I will also definitely be picking up Destiny but its cross platform.
The only thing that to me seems to come in to play is the $100 difference in price (assuming MS doesn't lower theirs). I'm willing to pay that in order to play all of the games I want to play. Why would I get a PS if I can't play any of the games I'm buying a console for?
Anyway I guess I havne't for sure made up my mind I just dont understand all of the "Xbox Booms" "game over xbox" posts? Is $100 dollars really the only reason its supposed to be game over for XBOX? Or am I just missing something?

As if now, it looks like I will be taking my talents to Sony, & joining the PS4.

If you don't find enjoyment in any PS3 exclusives and you don't care about the online check and you don't buy used games or rent them, or care about the extra $100 then you should go with the xbox.
But some of this stuff (while often overstated does affect others)
The boom was announcing no online requirement, no restrictions on used games or trading games, and the price difference. Like I said that may not matter to you, that is big enough to really impact the sales next gen.

KH3 doesn't seem to be exclusive.

No you are not missing a thing. I already pre-ordered my Xbox One and can't wait to get it.

It just creates this feeling that Microsoft is trying to impede the gamer as much as possible. While it may be a small fee wouldn't it be frustrating to have to pay to play a game your friend loaned you?
Most gamers like to feel that the company they chose cares about their experience and not just profit

No. They really can't. Since they all play mostly MP online games.

I actually noticed that when it happened but I didn't want to rewind the feed.
That is pretty sweet.

This is to you hog. The playstation games sucked at that conference... Your only good thing about it was the used game thing which is retarded, it does not effect me. My connection is always on so the other thing doesn't effect me either. The games looked better on Xbox one, and xbox live will most likely be head and shoulders over PSN once again.

I will take a stab at this one..
Things like Sim City and Diablo3 will never happen on PS4, because as long as you have electricity you can play your games in sweet sweet privacy and not have to worry about a server farm outage or a patch gone wrong to frick your innocent little single player game up.

Diablo 3 is coming to PS4. You think Blizzard won't require an internet connection? You know the auction houses are hosted online right?

Why are they making the online play subscription based???????

There will also be an option to loan games to friends, with restrictions. You can only loan a game once, and the recipient must appear on your Xbox Live friends list for longer than 30 days.
How often do you get games loaned to you? I normally just buy a game I want to play.
How is logging into live impeding a gamer? It is the first thing I do when I turn my xbox on. Internet is out...go outside, watch tv, or read a book. I think someone can survive a few hours of not playing a video game.

PLAYSTATION FREEZE! You probably thought the same when the 360 came out. Which company lost 6 billion last year again?

somewhat amusing that the same people who are all concerned over used games and having to have a stable Internet connection are the ones purchasing the cheaper console.
poor people problems. I'll own both. purchase full retail games. and both will have a 20MB+ connection 24 hours.
you sound so mad
