It’s a very well done game.
Being from south Louisiana and playing around in the swamps/NOLA area of the game you can really tell the attention to detail R* put in to this.
I found a huge alligator snapping turtle and killed it. Never in my life would I have imagined I could hunt an alligator snapping turtle in a game. 10 minutes later I ride back by and it's just the bones sitting in the road. Just awesome.

Apparently you can leave your campfire setup somewhere and use it as a fast travel point. Hmmm

I’ve been trying to stay away from the online tip videos, so I haven’t figured out how to use fast travel yet. Does anyone want to run it down for me real quick?

It is an upgrade you can buy at your camp. I believe you have to upgrade Dutch's tent first. Then you can fast travel from your camp to any town you've been to or apparently a camp site you've left up. You cannot fast travel back to your camp though.

I gave it myself yet, either, but you get it from camp upgrades. Get the "Next in Line" upgrade, costs about $325. Then you fast travel from the map on the back of the stagecoach next to Arthur's quarters. You can only fast travel to locations, though, so you have to ride back to camp.
edit: I think gocrazyauburn is right, you have to upgrade Dutch's quarters first.

Yea I did the upgrades, just not sure how to initiate the ‘fast travel’ part
Do you do it while on your horse? At your tent?

Walk to the back of your tent/wagon. There will be a map on the side of it that you can go up to and get the option to fast travel.

This is good to know. I was wondering why we were given the option to break down our campsite

Then the fast travel map will be in your room at the plantation house, not on a stagecoach.

That's good to know, I'm still at the first camp.

Did a weird thing last night and decided to start a new game about 50% through the first time. I felt like I blew through a lot of things early in the story and kinda wanted a do-over. I figure once I get back to my original spot I can decide which story I want to continue.
Only drawback is that the redo won't be able to autosave without overwriting my original and I know that's going to bite me in the arse a few times.

Yep
I might be there for a while longer, thinking I'm going to craft whatever satchels I can before doing more missions.
Yesterday I found a viking helmet and axe.

I just got to the second camp site, did every side mission so far, killed 3 legendary animals, robbed a homestead, upgraded every available gun to the fullest, got the white Arabian Horse, explored probably 85% of the map.
Finally figured out that you kinda have to have a "crime outfit" and that the psycho mask is pretty much bugged. Executioner's hood is where it is at. Still wondering if people notice the horse too. Havent figured that part out, but I went on a pretty good crime spree last night, killed about 10 people, robbed a few carriages in the process, made about $100 and never got a bounty put on me.

Been loving the game.
I must of missed something, i see alot of you guys are hunting legendary animals at the same point of the game im at. Is there a map to tells you where they are or something else to locate them?

Yes, you should have received a map from one of the characters after you go hunting for the legendary bear the first time.

I'm ready for online to be announced...
Now that I've completed the story I'm ready for something else. I think I'm going to go back and play through the story a second time and go full on outlaw and less of the good guy route I took initially.
