ill admit it wasnt buggy on release and the undead nightmare dlc looked fun. crossing into Mexico was cool

hog tying bad guys and putting them on train tracks was funny.

it had its moments and generally did what it was expected to do well.

Yea that's generally all I want from a game. Is for them to do what I expect them to do well.

I'm a sucker for westerns so I really enjoyed it. I could see how someone might not like it though. I just am amazed at the magnitude of a game to come out and not be a buggy mess nowadays.

ya know, after all the garbage that has been shoveled onto the market in the 2010s, I think time has been kind to RDR.

you are right, a game that big being released and not being a buggy mess is a pretty big accomplishment in itself.

I think the fact that so much pure shite has released to market since RDR, actually makes RDR look better and better by comparison, over the years.

not me. hoping they make him a loathsome pos that does horrible things so that it makes you question loving him so much in RDR1

Exactly. He HAS to be a total garbage prick. Remember, the key word in the title of the first game is REDEMPTION.

Nice guys don't need redemption.

We do not speak of Red Dead Revolver. It never happened.

RDR is a fun as hell game. GTA is an awesome series, esp V but it can get stale.

The whole thing is a commentary on the absurdity of modern day American culture times 1000 with freedom to do anything you want really. True digital playground.

What RDR was great at is that it has that Rockstar, open world polish, a great story and characters that stick with you, and picked a great and criminally underused setting in video games in the western years of the USA.

I have a feeling RDR is going to wow people, because much like GTA V, it's going to take that awesome formula and expand on the gameplay and story. Refining RDR to this engine and modern day consoles

Can't. fricking. Wait.

Wish I could preload my PS4 now just to stare at the countdown screen.

I just didn't care for it much. Redemption was a whole different awesome monster than revolver.

The launch trailer is out for those that want to watch it. I'll refrain seeing as we're nearly a week away and I don't need to see any more

If anyone is willing to wait an extra week to get the game, the Mexican version (which is in English) is available for $35:

I'm not willing to wait. Looks like Rockstar Warehouse is the only guaranteed release date delivery, so I'll spend the extra $30 to get to play the frick out of it that weekend.

Now I'm thinking more like dutch kills arthur while arthur's final act is to help the marston's get free of the gang, completing his transition from dutch's heel to good man. Either way I'm betting you get to ride as Marston again.

Just finished a replay of RDR and John gets shot during a robbery and they leave him. The gang abandons him.

I'm scouring the interwebz daily for any new news on this game. Gettin real tired of reading faux outrage over 100 hr work weeks.

If Rockstar thinks they need to work 100 hrs a week to bring us this game so be it.
