It's really only useful for rare stuff that has already spawned.
You are in PoGo. Something shows up nearbye , 3 paws, silhoutte.
Open ingress and look at the big clusters around you.
Your rare pokemon will probably be there.
Don't go walking around with ingress open..that's just playing Ingress.
Wait for something to show up in PoGo and use your knowledge of ingress XM clusters to know where to check
To make it simpler just check the green rustling leaves on your pogo map. Those are nests that can have rare spawns

He's saying don't waste 400 magikarp candy to evolve a 250 cp magikarp, when later you can find a 500 cp magikarp to evolve that will be stronger.
And you won't need to burn more magikarp candy and stardust to make up the difference

Ah, gotcha. I missed the part about having a shitty magikarp to evolve. I figured if you had 400 magikarp, you were bound to have at least one really good one by that point.

So what's been the highest pokemon you've run across so far?
There was a gym on the way home that had a 1772cp Arcanine. The only thing I've seen close was the ˜1,500cp gyarados that someone here posted.

I feel like if your pokemon is in the top two tiers and has a lot of CP already...it's worth to consider investing power ups into.
I.e. don't power up a cp 25 pinsir but if you get a 550 one out of a 10k egg...and need a gym fight team...consider it
Vaporeon might actually be stronger..some can get 42 cp per. Try to wait until u find 300 cp eevee before evolving your next one
This also doesn't consider HP and attack speed and special attacks so it doesn't tell the whole story. Some 'weak' CP pokes have hella hp making them good gym defenders

Speaking of ol Magikarp I got a 100 CP one which is the highest I've seen and only 189 more candy to go lol

No friends around to play this with currently so summary of the nights events...
Went to downtown Charleston after dinner tonight - holy crap. So many lured stops and made a killing. A good bit of people around so it wasn't sketchy but not too many to make it crowded. They had a very popular gym but somebody knocked it down from level 7 red to level 2 yellow (I'm yellow). Threw a 541 Pidgeot in there for shits and giggles and it lasted about 5 minutes haha.
Will definitely be hitting this place up again. Going to reap my rewards with a lucky egg and a lure at work tomorrow.
This game is so freaking fun.

Any particular Pokemon I should be evolving when I activate a lucky egg or should I just evolve all my Pokemon.
