Upgrade the photon cannons and you can rape those ships. I still get wrecked when going to a distress signal, but the pirates that ambush you for the cargo get destroyed.
I wish there was an easier way to refill the meter on your shield. Kind of a pain in the arse to open up the menu in the middle of a dogfight.

I have been doing something similar to learn the languages without even having to mine. Just find the outpost with the alien inside. Talk to him until you get the option to learn new word. do it. When you can ask for fuel do so. he will give you carbon that you turn around and give right back to him to learn more words.

That's what I did, too.
Doesn't work later on because the "fuel" becomes special craft items, but you can basically learn the whole language of at least your starting alien species.
BTW, there are about 400 words of the Korvax language. I assume it's about the same for the Vy'Keen and Gek, too.

So I just found a planet that has all of these glowing orbs on the ground and they are worth 30,000 units each. But when you pick them up the sentinels lose their shite and I immediately get a three star wanted level and have to sprint back to my ship and fly away. I just keep landing in different places and picking up a handful then get out a dodge. This is intense

I found one if those also. Farmed ~500K worth of those things.
The elite sentinels aren't too difficult to kill and drop valuable resources themselves. Probably worth it to tough it out.

I financed a ship on one of those planets. A lot of sentinels met my multi-tool.

I'm on a planet like that now. I guess it's worth the pain at over 30k units a pod.
I ust got a 21 slot starship. Lost my hyper drive fuel though. 8-) My suit is up to 22 slots. Love searching for the pods with extra slots in them.

shite it might be better. I hope they fix all the crashes and glitches soon
I'm afraid to hit start because the last two times I have, my game has crashed. Grabbing a multi tech off the wall? Crash. Land on a certain spot? Fall through the map and have to restart your entire game.
I love this game so far, but it's getting to be hard to play

If you start the game on one console, do you have to put the save file to the cloud to continue on another console or is everything saved on their servers?

They have a spikey plant that when you approach it litreally turns into a iron throne looking chair of knives and fricks you up. If you mine it you get some kind of venom that's worth 28,000 a pop
