Found the hole in the roof of the cave.

Just found a trading post on a planet I named Eden because it is literally strewn with those alien sacs with albumen pearls in them. I've made four million in the last 45 minutes just farming close by the trading post and returning and dumping all the pearls in my inventory. Might just do this for a few more hours...

Good thing too the weather here is a cool 8 Celsius outside and the wildlife is almost all herbivore, except for a few crablike creatures that die in two shots from my bolt caster. Literally almost earth like lol.

Doing the same now, but with red cubes. The sentinels go apeshit when I take them.

If you get the grenade attachment for your gun you can blast holes into the ground, walls, ceilings and make your way out of a cave. Or into a hidden cave.

Found a pretty bare planet/moon that has huge rocks of Gold everywhere. You can hold 250 in one slot and get anywhere from 52k to 55k. Grinding my way to a bigger ship. The aliens on this planet are sort of lizard looking.

PSA: It took me awhile to realize this, but you can hold 250 of a substance in your exosuit, but if you transfer it to your ship one stack holds 500. So you can collect two stacks of Gold in your exosuit then transfer them both to your ship and they will be in one stack.

This seems like a game id really enjoy but with all the negativity around it and being priced at $60 i think ill wait. There seems to be a lot of speculation that this is just a timed exclusive.

Does playing on pc on pc run smootrr or ffer more advantages

Spent the night trying to get to a signal on a planet that should have taken me 10-15 min max. Instead took hours to get 3/4 of the way. Swear every 100 yards was a new alien camp or alien monument to investigate. I'd tell myself I'd skip the next camp and just go straight to the signal. Didn't ever work.

Hopped across the planet all night before finding an outpost and selling all the trade goods I had collected exploring for about 250k. Bought a new ship with 24 slots for 1.3 million. Will make it to the signal tomorrow.

Started over on PC. At first, had a couple of frame rate issues and it crashed to desktop. Nvidia Experience gave me a pop-up for optimal settings for the game. Set that and it runs damn good. Didn't have the slightest bit of stuttering. Hopefully everyone else on PC will work out OK.

First planet, got 100% of all species. Finally realized it's easy to shoot the birds and ID their dead bodies instead of trying to mark them with the scanner.

Anyone naming their systems/planets? I decided to start naming them after planets on Star Trek...if I'm going to nerd out, then I'm going to go all the way.

I've spent WAY too much time exploring planets. I bought a 4 mil ship and have maxed out my exosuit slots thanks to spending about six hours of farming copper and gold on a planet and hunting down drop pods.

I'm to the point to where if it isn't one of the bases that has a landing pad or a monolith/language place that I won't stop.

I just got to my third solar system late last night (I've officially been on the surface of 7 planets) and I still don't have an atlas stone. I was called to a planet for the 'story' mission and went to the place and it told me to go back out into the stars. Guess I'll have to wait another 2-3 days because I just can't not explore the planets lol.

Wait, are there really people who aren't naming their planets and systems? What a bunch of lazy fricks.

I've named pretty much every solar system after some variation of my name and named one of my planets 'Tigerdroppings'

Asode from that I've been naming them just kind of random or after what is there.

Like one planet I found had a frick ton of gold. Named it 'Leprechaun's Wet Dream'. Another one was cold as frick and your shield drained super fast so I named it 'Snow hell'

The only other random name I used was for some desert like one and I just named it Tatooine. Lazy, I know.

Experienced my first major bug (ps4). Landed at an outpost, the current/previous save synced up, but the outpost was misplaced on the ground, with major clipping issues... so I fell down into lava which was too far for me to jetpack out of .

I just restarted lol.

I STILL haven't found extra slot upgrades for my suit. I thought those were found in cargo boxes and encampments on planets. I've been exploring trying to find them and haven't found crap.

Almost got lost in a cave as well !

if you find a beacon and use a blue chip on the colonial outpost or shelter (can't remember), sometimes it'll give you a marker for a drop pod location. Those hold the suit upgrades.

Like it was mentioned, you can craft bypass chips and use them in the boxes at some random bases that have the orange laser shooting out of it. Choose 'shelter' and it may direct you to a drop ship with the exosuit inventory slot.

I did that for like my first 4-5, but after that I just found them from searching for shite in my ship at a low altitude. They aren't super hidden typically, but if you don't know what they look like they can be hard to spot.

Also, remember that you're first exosuit slot upgrade is free, but they increase 10K in price after each one.

ETA: It's a bit late for me because I am already rich with currency, but has anyone tried the duplication glitch for currency?

I've put in about 20 hours so far, and if you really want to exploit the system to get everything faster, you can.

I discovered yesterday that when you go to the consoles at outposts that have distress signals for crashed ships, the console resets every time you leave the building and come back.

Each time you complete the code to get the distress signal, it puts another crashed ship out there that you can find, and each time you find one of those ships, it has 1 more inventory slot than your current ship, and generally is a different ship altogether.

I went from 23-26 slots in my ship just using the items I'd mined so far on the planet. This saves you millions of units upgrading your ship if you don't feel like mining/selling for hours on end.

I just mined gold and bought a ship with like 26 slots. I haven't even seen a crashed ship that's been remotely decent, however, I've only found like 15-20 of them.

The exploit I was talking about though essentially duplicates super expensive items. Whenever you die ins pace in a dogfight, apparently if you reload back into a 'previous' save and not the last auto save then your inventory is still full, but your gravesite in space is still active. So your can go pick up your ship's inventory x2.

Ok, so did it again this morning, you don't even have to leave the console. You can just stand there and spawn as many crashed ships as you want to get +1 slots each time. It's definitely cheese, but saves time on the mining front. Just stock your inventory with Herodium and iron.
