ok, so from what I can tell, I need to not spend any of my IP correct? If I want a champion I should pull out my wallet and spend RP on it, because IP seems to be a good bit more rare... considering you can't just purchase it.

Yeah , that's one of their hooks.
There are sales and a free champ rotation so you can play a lot of champs for not a lot of coin.
IP has to be earned and you can only get runes with IP. Good runes will run you between 210 and 1025 ip per.
Runes are essential at lvl 20+ for sure.
imo if I were you I'd save my IP or only use it on cheap tier1 runes. Then play free champs until you find the ones you love.
Keep in mind there are some very good 450 and 1350 IP champs. Use IP to buy those.
3150 IP champs are about the cutoff
4800 and 6300 IP champs I buy on sale for rp.

Then of course there are skins which are completely frivolous and mostly cosmetic but damn some of them look good. Only can be bought with RP.
The game is addictive because it elicits a lot of responses in our brain we associate with good. +gold, lvl up noise, buying powerful items, lots of colors, an announcer saying "double kill, triple kill, quadra kill" and badkids whining when they get rekt.
Along with being fun, easy to learn, and tough/impossible to master

To be better than half the LoL population, it has zero to do with anything you do with your mouse or keyboard. If you can simply not be a retarded inbred dumb arse....you are one of the better league players.
I just don't get why people can't understand simple, common sense concepts.

You are too hard on yourself.
Play WuKong 20 times straight and you'll start to get a feel for him.
That goes for all champs.

The WuCarry requires aggressive trading in lane. And a flask start (imo).
E Auto Q auto then retreat behind your minion line. Don't use W until a jungler comes or you will go oom fast. Your lvl 6 ultimate isn't that strong so don't try to 1v3.

I have been playing for about a year and a half and have all but about 20 champions. I have only bought one or two champs with rp. If you want to spend money to buy the champs you want, go for it. But you don't need to. Just play free champs and pick the ones you like to buy with ip. You usually end up playing a small pool of champs that you like/most comfortable with anyways, so you don't need to rush getting every champ.

Placed Bronze I and somehow I end up in a game with Gold II duo bot lanes, Gold mids and silver tops...
My team....all bronze/unranked and one silver V
I don't even bother at that point.

In a ranked or normal?
Ranked/normal/team builder all use different MMR.
Someone may be gold as a jungle main but then decide to try adc in norms and it lowers their normal mmr if they lose enough for instance.

Here is a tip. Everyone uses 'smartcast'. You may be using it. If not I highly recommend it.
It let's you cast your skill shots instantly..instead of clicking the spell, then aiming, then clicking again..smartcast ed spells cast instantly where ure mouse pointer is.
Bind it under hot keys when u press esc in game
