Playing support will teach you some great things you may not learn/notice while playing other lanes (since you're very focused on farming.

-Ward placement
-Map awareness
-Focusing on better positioning for you and your ADC
-Jungle camp timers

Also, if everyone is laning and their jungle is ganking toplane (and you can see this on your minimap), don't ward the river bush just yet. It's a waste of a ward as you know where everyone is and there is little chance of a gank happening.

Also (and this drives me absolutely insane), if your lane is pretty even (in terms of the minion wave, don't worry about warding the bush on your side immediately. Use yourself for bush vision. If the enemy support/adc isn't using the bush to their advantage, don't waste a ward on it. You can use that ward (aka 3 minutes of vision) later and save yourself the money.

Too many people just walk into lane, and throw a ward down just because. I also don't generally ward river if my lane is slightly pushed towards my tower, as anyone coming from that direction isn't an immediate threat because of how far they are from me and my proximity to my tower. (I MAY ward the tri-bush on blue side in some cases)

Lastly, sell your yellow trinket once you get sight stone and get the sweeper. You can only have 3 wards out at once and you already have 4 with a sight stone.

ETA: If you like blitz, play thresh. You get the hook capabilities without the commitment of dragging them towards you and your adc.

Tip: If you and a buddy are headed towards dragon from blue side jungle, don't take the long walk around to the dragon pit. As thresh, throw down your lantern, hook the dragon, activate your hook again to drag yourself to the dragon, then your ally can click your lantern to dash to you (over the wall) in dragon pit. This also works with enemy champions whom you are chasing.
