Former Renegades support Remilia passed away last night. They say she passed in her sleep but nothing else has come out. She was 24.

For those that play pretty regularly, after about a full month or so, how is everyone liking the rift changes?

I personally think Elder Dragon is still too strong as a concept. I never really liked the idea of it getting an execute off of it.

Everything else is pretty good. I like the changing rift based on the dragon and getting a bonus for getting most of the drags. Although I wish there was a setting to turn off the accent colors/rain that comes with rift changes, just to give players an option if they don't like it.

"Better jg wins" is stronger than it's ever been, IMO. Of course this comes a season after I stopped jungling completely and fell in love with bot lane.

Could see this split being extremely jungler focused, possibly all season barring some changes between Spring and Summer splits.

I'm pretty sure I've logged a couple hundred hours of ARAM over the last couple months. It has become my preferred game mode

Hmm, everything I've read has jungle as the worst position this preseason. They overnerfed jungle camp xp so you're always at least a level behind no matter what.

Tons of bitching about it, think it was the top thread on reddit the other day and they're supposed to be finding ways to fix it because it did the opposite of what they intended.

Found it

@liquid112 So this sucks, there are delays processing visas for Cain, Broxah and Shernfire. We hope they all may be able to compete at the start of season, but that may not happen. This has also affected our Jan team practice. We are evaluating backup options should they be required.

TL coach as well as Broxah having major visa delays. May not be able to play week 1.

The top thread responding to that OP immediately talks about how strong junglers are if they can solo dragon. I also literally never said anything remotely along the lines of jungler being the strongest role. It has nothing to do with exp and scoreline. It has everything to do with being able to control the objectives, which have only gone up in importance with these changes. Jungle is 100% going to be the focal point this split.

If anything, the exp deficit even further enhances how important it is to have the better jungler on your team, because misplaying is going to lead to falling even further behind and subsequently your team losing control over the jungle, which is a death sentence in this meta.

Speaking of reading, please point to where I said jungler was the strongest role.

This response make zero sense outside of you implying I said jungler was strong.

Most vital for team success =/= strongest

FTFY

Saying a meta is going to be jungler focused is not the same as saying junglers are 1v5'ing this year.

ADC/bot lane is still the most important.

But yeah anyways, back to the thread.

Jungle is pretty weak overall, you're behind no matter what you do. You can be 5/0/0 and up farm and you're still going to be a level+ behind someone that is say just even in lane. Only thing that matters is ganking 24/7 as counter jungling is a waste of time.

Now it's just even more bot focused with the dragon buffs.

They're supposed to be tweaking jungle XP again though so should revert back at least some soon.
