I can see where you someone would say this. I feel like if my jungler is clueless I lose more games.

Bot lane seems like the strong point of this patch though. I rarely see many even bot lanes. One has usually stomped the other and carries and there isn't much I can do as a mid laner.

Speaking of mid lane, it seems like I'm playing against assassins every game and I'm not a fan.

Sounds like season 3.

My analysis was also more of a prediction of pro play. Not so much the meta of the regular playerbase.

I think pro play is going to be heavily centered around junglers and the jungle in general.

I think it'll be even worse than last season with top on an island and only playing bot side.

All about dragon control and ganking a shite ton bot side with mid roams and then taking drag.

If you've got a bad bot lane and/or jungle synergy down there you're probably fricked spring split.

100% agree with you. You're going to need a solo laner top who doesn't need any help and has a pretty good champ pool.

Yeah, no doubt. Picking dominant laners are going to be priority for bot lanes.

Agree. Although I wonder if some teams are going to experiment with whether or not allowing that pressure botside in exchange for complete control over the multiple rifts pays dividends. Wouldn't surprise me to see teams with a lot of firepower in the top lane try that out and try to snowball the game through top that way. Dig comes to mind.

What I'm looking forward to most is just the look of the league.

Everyone's rosters are going to look totally different.

2020 LCS format changes

quote:

LCS starts on Jan 25 and Academy on Jan 24

LCS games will be on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays
We’re introducing Monday Night League, featuring two marquee LCS matchups of the week and kicking off at 5:30 PM PT

We’ve updated the LCS Playoffs format for Spring and Summer, taking place over 4 weeks

The 3 LCS teams will qualify for Worlds 2020 via the new LCS Summer Playoffs instead of the old path of Regional Qualifier and Championship Points

Finally we get a double elim for the top bracket! Lets gooo! Exactly what most have been asking for.

Top EIGHT (8!) teams make playoffs for summer and it goes to a BO5 format.

The top three teams from 2020 LCS Summer Playoffs will advance to the 2020 League of Legends World Championship. As such, there will no longer be a Regional Qualifier or Championship Points.

I like how they are combining the gauntlet and playoffs together. I also like the worlds teams being determined in the back half of the year.

I don't remember the exact year, but I believe it was 100T who got in on points but was clearly not a top 3 NA team at the time of worlds and just got rolled. Maybe that was 2018.

I don't get expanding Summer to 8 teams though, if you're going to expand it, might as well let the last 2 out play as well. Especially if there is a 4 way tie for last or something.

I've always looked at MSI as a pretty big accomplishment for winning. I know there is monetary value, but it's world championship competition. If you win that, that is some serious cred.

Still delayed, it's very unlikely he's (Broxah) here for the start of LCS

Man that's pretty wild. Hate to see that.

They still have the roster to go 2-0 first week, but C9 and TSM are two teams you want your starting jungler for.
