You need to assign a person to each location.
Is there any way to tell WHO is assigned to What?
If not, that was a bit of a frack up? I keep taking people from one assignment and sticking them on another while some schmoes play frisbee.

The way I differentiate the settlers assigned to tacks is by equipping them with different hats. I have mining hats for everyone working a merchant booth, gas masks for everyone farming crops and baseball helmets for the people assigned to scrapping.

Getting a settlement from 80 happiness to 100 happiness took me damn near 11 hours.

I gave them bastids a roof, bed, food, water, and protection. As far as I'm concerned they are on their own for now, I have ashtrays to collect.

I gave them beds and a water pump. As far as I'm concerned, if they still aren't happy, frick them.

What is the most settlers you guys have in one place? I have 18 at the Sanctuary and 18 at the castle. I am at a point in both settlements where I can't build anything else. I was wondering if more settlers came would it let me build more? I wish there wasn't a cap on how much you could build.

Good to know. 78 was the highest I got Sanctuary, then it dipped down to 60ish. I built a bar and that got them to 68, but they have been stuck there. I think I'm about to tear that place down and use the materials to finish the drive-in.
ETA: 18 in Sanctuary.

I'm not 100% what the max is but it's based on your Charisma level. Every settlement can have 10+your charisma level. 11 is the highest you can get your charisma without using gear or drugs, so that puts you at 21 total. If you wear gear and take drugs like grape mentats, you can get close to 30.
I started with 21 at starlight and increased it to 24. I built 19 level 3 clinics and put the remaining people on food duty. I built a few paintings and rugs for good measure. I jumped from 80 to 84 pretty quickly and then it became a slow crawl after that. I believe there's also a glitch that causes happiness to fluctuate when you leave a settlement. So I just hung around and did other things around my apartment while leaving the game on. I started at 2:30 pm yesterday and got to 100 happiness around 1:15 am.

I love the little exposition of stories found on terminals or holotapes. I was in some building with terminals and as I went i Read a series of emails about some guy who proposed to his GF then got systematically friend-zoned
I wonder if he ever got the girl
