Didn't have to pick the lock for that one. Dogmeat pulled it right out for me.

Finally started to use power armor. It's okay.

Leveled up McReady all the way to get the killshot perk.

I'm pretty much getting 95 on all headshots in VATS now with my maxed out sniper and rifleman. Plus the small arms bobblehead and several issues of guns and bullets,

My 2shot fully upgraded assault rifle is killing most normal enemies in 1 hit even on Very Hard

Settlement attacks definitely scale with your level.

The Castle got hit with a hoard of Charred Feral Ghouls. For those that haven't seen them yet, they take an insane amount of damage and keep coming.

No wonder settlements can get wiped if I don't show up. There were a ton of them along with a Legendary Glowing Charred Feral Ghoul.

Then some Super High Level Synths immediately hit another settlement. I killed them. A wandering Glowing Deathclaw decided to visit. Killed it.

The settlers thanked me for being there and once again..... The fracking attack won't clear. Still asks for me to defend. Slept 12 hours. Traveled back to the spot. Walked a really wide perimeter. Worked on the settlement all day. Went to sleep again for 12 hours. Scrapped some guns and armor. Repaired my Power Armor... Still shows pending attack.

So pissed. I know if I head back to Sanctuary, I will get the failed to defend BS and I'll come back to a torched camp.

This bug really grinds my gears.

I maxed out the synths guns. Gave someone a legendary gatling laser which uses a fusion core for ammmo.

Several of the peeps already have maxed 44s. They damn well should be able to defend themselves but I am assuming a synth materialized in the ground, It can't see the settlers so the fight stopped but it is still there keeping the defend quest active and after a certain point it fails if the enemy is still alive.

I have yet to have a settlement attacked. I've been playing for a while and am like level 18. Do you have to advance to a certain point before that happens or what?

Nope. You are probably missing the message that they are under attack and then missing the YOU FAILED message.

I looked it up and there is a fix for when you can't get the all clear after the attack.

Well, there is a fix for the PC folks.

Open the console and then click on one of the dead bodies, then type resurrect. It will resurrect one of the attackers. Kill it and then you should get the all clear. It worked for me.

It could take up to 10 tries before finally giving you the end of the quest notice.

This fix might not work if the initial attack was from a synth settler.

Played a couple of hours yesterday and spent almost all of my time remodeling some of my Sanctuary. Somehow, I ran out of wood

I placed tall walls around my water purifiers to protect them, and extended my base walls out past the furthest empty lot so I could make that an area for all of my vendor stands. I need more caps so I can add vendors, though

I am fairly certain I've spent more time fixing up settlements than doing quests.

Spent a couple hours last night setting up supply lines to all of my settlements and setting up defenses so I wouldn't be bothered by their inability to defend themselves. That should help.

You don't have to devise a true route. A connection with 1 settlement means you're connected to all that settlements supply lines. You could do a hub and spoke, run them in a series, randomly assign, etc... doesn't really matter.

Are you asking HOW to set them up? LIke what buttons?

And thanks to everyone that was talking about the weave yesterday. I'm level 46 and just discovered it last night b/c of y'all. Good grief, I see why power armor isn't needed anymore. So I'm just gonna stop wearing combat armor and just wear a weaved tuxedo.

And you are positive the purifier is hooked up and up top it really says 150? Because you should be getting some pure water. Not sure what is going wrong.

Finally figured it out. There's some sort of bug that if you store purified water in the workshop BEFORE you start producing your own, it won't add anything to what you stored.

Removed what I had stored, and within 24 hours I had a whole lot waiting on me when I came back.

Side note:
I used Strong as companion from around lvl 20-35. Just tried using Danse. Does he just randomly disappear? Valentine seemed to work better.

I know which buttons. Was just wondering if setting up a circle would be most efficient.

I just have my main settlement and store everything in Sanctuary and have all my other settlements connect to it (or others that connect to it)

to do it you just need a settler, and go into build mode and look for the button when pointing at a settler (not one with a name, just: settler) that says supply lines (It's R1 on PS4)

I haven't found that it matters. I have Sanctuary and starlight as my two main hubs, and everything either running into them or into a connection one off from them.
