Hate that they didn't allow custom playbooks in pvp, like the last update allowed in Madden

They must have reversed that then in an update because I was playing with one against friends earlier this month/late last month. I haven't played online in about two weeks though so I don't know

Really? Cause my buddies are annoyed that I can run for 350-400 yds per game against the CPU and 250 on them.

Same here. Updates haven’t done shite to stop my machine from dominating all opponents both human and cpu

One of my biggest takeaways from this thread time and time again is that if you MFers aren’t signing every 5* recruit, running for 250+ yds per game, throwing for 400+, then this game is OMG SO BROKEN

I’m halfway joking, but shite man, anytime EA changes something, or something doesn’t go your way a lot of yall just run to the internet and sky scream about how ‘broken’ this game is… it’s really strange. Just a headsup, you guys are SUPPOSED to experience a little adversity if you’re running a college football program. You’re going to have games where you can’t get the run game or the pass game going. You’re going to have games where your defense gets carved up. You’re gonna have that head scratching moment where a hometown guy picks the OOS program. It just is what it is. But anytime some of y’all get hit with something that’s a little difficult or something you aren’t used to, then clearly somethings wrong with this game. That’s crazy talk. I know I’m on an island here with this opinion, but some of yall are some front running sissy boys

I’d be very interested in seeing some of you guys’ dynasty record. Bet the majority of yall have a ‘0’ in the L column from cheesing and/or restarting anytime the CPU gets the best of you. I know at least 6 of yall gotta be something like 118-0 after 9 years

I just lost a dynasty game on Heisman because I threw two early picks which led to going down 17-0.

Made a valiant comeback only to press the wrong receiver button in the redzone and throw it to a guy in the middle of the field with no time outs. I just moved it to 3 minute quarters and feel that I would've won.

Lost 21-24. Heartbreaking. Season is still ahead of us though.

I've had a lot of fun playing to Road to CFP mode. Still get smoked every once in a while but stay competitive for the most part. I enjoy playing different types of people which force me to actually learn to make defensive adjustments and play different styles.I think my record is something like 37-14 in that mode. I typically only play with LSU because I know the offensive playbook. If I can find a lower tier with similar plays, it would be fun to see if I can progress.

ETA: I basically simulate games in my offline dynasty unless it's either a top 25 matchup or a big away game

Do recruits commit to you after week 4 in offseason recruiting if no one else offers them?

I have a handful of guys where I don’t think I will be able to fill the bar all the way up. But I’m in first place as far as interest and no other school has offered them a scholarship.

No way these recruits don’t sign with anyone right?

I believe you get them but don't get credit for the "commit" for recruiting rankings

Anyone play Road to the CFP much?

I'm 18-5 online currently. I use different teams a lot to mix it up, but I've been settling in on South Carolina & Penn State lately. I think online you really need to have a good DL that can get pressure with 4 so that you can drop as many guys into zone as possible.

I like having a running QB because people defend them differently and you can take advantage in the passing game. I only really take off and run with the QB 2-3 times per game when nothing is open or its a wide open lane for a first down.

I played it for a while, to test diff playbooks and gameplans. Used USC west most frequently. Made it to the top level but haven't played in a while. Sticking to our tigerdroppings dynasty for the most part.

Just set a new record with 18 five stars.

I have more 5 stars than 130 schools have commits

What’s the highest you’ve been able to get your overall, offensive, and defensive team ratings?

I can’t seem to get higher than a 95 overall although I have gotten a 96 for one of the units once or twice

I get the appeal of dominating the cpu for some (not really my thing), but do yall not have interest in also competing against other real players? I enjoy competing for recruits and for the games themselves with other humans, but I guess it isn't for everyone.

I enjoy it but I don’t like playing one game and then having to wait for other players. One week can take days and I lose interest

I'm 49 and didn't really get into video games until I was in my 20s outside of some sports games. Online gaming wasn't a thing and none of my friends I grew up with played video games. So I grew into a single player gamer only and don't enjoy online gaming at all.

I have younger coworkers always asking me if I want to join up with them. I tell them I use video games to get away from people for my sanity breaks!

I’ve got New Mexico up to 95 overall with 95 defense.

Really weird was my schedule changed from me saving to the season. They went from week 2 to week 0

I'm the same way. Throw on a good slider set and I can get more enjoyable, realistic games than going online and having little Timmy hot route every single receiver to ensure someone is open every play because of something he saw on TikTok.

We typically advance every one or two days and keep a relatively active chat in-between for those that want to engage. Typically play between 6 and 9pm CST on week nights.

If that is Lil Timmy's game, he is gonna struggle on the road. The OP home field doesn't really allow that type of play.

I don't think thats as bad as it used to be. But there are still some really glitchy plays that people will exploit.

It feels like you're wasting your time using Man defense in this game most of the time though, unless you run cover 1 and user cover the mdidle of the field with the LB or safety

Sorry to jump in the middle of this thread, I realized I was stoned and ordered this game a few nights ago.

Is the Dynasty mode thing worth playing? I don't play pvp stuff because I don't feel like getting owned by 13 year old nerds.
