Pretty sure that's false, however I could be wrong lol. I'm somewhat sure the only requirements to infuse a certain weapon or piece of armor is that the item you're breaking down to infuse has to be a higher attack/defense than the item you want to improve and they must also be from the same slot. IE. If you want to infuse a heavy weapon you have to break down a stronger heavy weapon.

I've received several blue armor items that have had higher defense than some of my legendaries so I've only really infused the stronger blue armor into my legendaries because I like the way I look already. But unless I'm reading the information wrong, if you like a blue over a purple item and the purple has higher stats then you could infuse said purple item to raise the attack/defense of the blue.

Yes but you can use blue weapons with higher levels to infuse into legendary/exotic

I couldn't play over the weekend, I was out of town for a wedding. But I had a big day yesterday, went from 250ish to 282.

I just saw that the Zone control PvP matches are up today and giving 10 legendary marks for your first 3 wins. I was thinking about doing a bunch of PvP tonight already.
