Dude, I hope this doesn't seem weird, but knowing what you're going through and like I said in the other thread, being able to relate to the cardiology issues with my wife being a heart patient and watching her go through the open heart surgery, and also knowing that the cherry on top of everything will be the bill, I'd like to offer to buy the expansion pack for you.
I may not know you in real life, but you seem like a good man and no one deserves to go through things like that, especially with their child. Call it a Christmas gift or a get well soon gift for your daughter, but if I could help in some small way, I'd like to.
I'll go halfsies with you on the Expansion pass for both DLC's. If you're down, We can coordinate via PSN to pay for it.
I've met a lot of good people from this thread alone and I'd like to pay it forward. Although gaming didn't pay me anything personally, but the friendships I've made have been very valuable to me and playing with you guys is something I look forward to at the end of the work day.

I'll happily chip in if we know he'll be able to play again.
If not, I hear they're making a Destiny 2.

100% down. Gardoki, once things get more stable, your family is back home, and you are ready to pick up that PS controller, we got you. Don't you dare pull out that credit card to buy the expansion.

Can you buy someone as a gift digitally via PSN? I want to say you can on XBL but not sure if on PSN. If not, we can buy it from a gamespot and send him the code via a PSN message.
I've got to go to gamestop tomorrow anyways for some Christmas shopping and can get it then and we can figure it all out afterwards.

I'm not exactly sure. I feel like I may have seen a "gift it" option, but I'm not certain.
I have paypal, so whatever we do, I can send or receive money easily.

Hard to force your hand when your hands are tied
ETA: Hell, I'll even run your character to get you up to 31/32 and Max out some new weapons for you if you let me man.

Seriously, it's the least we could do.

Mystery/Gardoki (or any of our other regulars who play it), can you guys give me a brief pitch on Dragon Age? I asked in that thread if I'd be able to enjoy it without having played the first two, but only one guy said that it wasn't necessary to have played them. Everything I hear about it is great, aside from the inevitable trolls, so I'm thinking about scooping it up.

It's not necessary to have played any of the previous games. Probably references Dragon Age II more than anything, but even then, all you really need to know is that's where the war between the Mages and Templars started.

The game is a gem. Great game and best current gen RPG out there. Dragon Age story is very deep and vast, so there will surely be things you don't understand or names you are lost on. But you don't have to play the older games.

I don't really recommend using the Dragon Age Keep unless you've played the previous games or unless there's a few major plot points from previous games that you want to influence.
I've only played all the way through Dragon Age II, and even then, I couldn't remember half of the decisions I made that weren't major plot points.

Are both of the prequels on the last gen consoles? I mean, I could always get them for my 360 or even just the second one if that's the one it references to. It's good to know it's not necessary, though.
Now that I think about it, I think I saw Gardoki say it was $40 right now. I was thinking he was already playing, but I think I was mistaken. Hopefully it stays on sale or is on sale again after Christmas, because I usually get some Best Buy gift cards. DA and Shadow of Mordor are my next two purchases.

One more question for y'all, does it require any online play or is anything cooperative? I know it's not an MMO, but just curious.

I've played origins for about 15 hours. I haven't touched inquisition. I've been tempted to drop origins and jump straight to inquisition, especially since it's only $40 right now. Idk though. On one hand I don't have time for it but on the other I can play it with remote play. The idea that I haven't played the goty for many people bothers me.

It's $40 pretty much everywhere or just one store?

No online play needed. Great game I've only played about 5 hours due to destiny but si far so good.
I played the first DA but not the second.

Yeah, I think I'm sold. I'm going to grab it sometime over the next few weeks.
