I just started destiny 2 a few days ago. Never played destiny 1... I love MMO's and when I first heard about Destiny thought it would be fun but never got around to playing it. I'm having an absolute blast right now. Totally frickin lost and overwhelmed but IDGAF. I'm mad at myself for not getting into it earlier lol.

Are a rumor piercing rounds good for shattering shields in legend/master lost sector's. I would think so but I overthink some shite

Not if match game is on. They do a little bit, but when we are talking about elemental shields, they don't do much.

New raid is really fun. Final boss fight could use more interdependent mechanics. Visually amazing.

Yea I am loving the raid. Easily the most visually impressive raid they have ever done. The setting is just spectacular. That first glimpse you get off into the distance where you see the worm and see where you will end up is just gorgeous.
Haven't made it to the boss yet. We got to the second stage on the ogre encounter on saturday, but couldn't get any farther. The damage heat check was real. Felt pretty good for not looking up any hints as we went along. Haven't tried it after contest went away.

I'd assume as much. I like the ogre encounter a lot. A good mix of chaos and coordination.

As someone who played multiple thousands of hours on D1 and hung up D2 during year one (although I did try the expansion Cade died for a few hours)
How is Destiny these days? I haven't gamed really at all since having kids three years ago. Destiny was my last love. I was obsessed with the story and lore.
Now I check in on the story idk WTF is going on at all.
Anyone want to give me a good run down? Probably won't play anytime soon but damnit I miss gaming and making light house runs.

Pve is in an overall really good place right now. The Witch Queen campaign is the best campaign they have put into the game. Story wise the past three seasons have really been a step up overall. The last two new raids (plus the re-release of Last Wish) have been fantastic. Much like D1 after Taken King, it is a completely new game than it was in year 1. Coming in now, any new players (or like you that hasn't done anything in forever), there is going to be a metric frick ton of stuff to do.

Pvp is pretty rough right now. The void class upgrades are broken in pvp, much like Stasis was when it first launched. The player base is really low for pvp and connections suffer, so that doesn't help.

Its nice that the boss damage phase actually feels like a boss fighting you. Rhulk doesnt just sit there and lets you dps him, he will attack you and be constantly moving around the arena. A really nice mechanic that I would like to see more of going forward.

Yep. I’m a pvp main in this game. If it isn’t raids or nightfalls, I don’t do much in this game normally besides pvp. This season, outside of week 1, I haven’t played pvp besides the pinnacles/finishing 8 bounties off needing more than 3 games. That is saying a lot.

Late to the party, but I just bought Witch Queen. Question. Is it worth doing the story on Legend mode for the gear or will I get up to 1520 just doing it? I attempted the very first mission on Legend but I had to leave and didn't get very far. Can I go back and do them at a higher level once I level up a bit, say 1400? Sorry if you guys discussed this already.
