I completed the Upper Cathedral Ward but now I'm at a loss as to where to go next. Looks like I'll consult an FAQ to find out what to do next.

NG+ is uh... much more difficult

264k blood echoes down the drain

Just finished playing for the night, loaded up on vials and leveled up a few times getting ready to fight the electric skeleton dog.
As I was playing tonight I took notice of just how well made this game is. The controls, environment, enemies, leveling, weapons, literally everything ties together so well.
I personally would put BloodBorne as my favorite PlayStation game ever above The Last of Us.

I fricking love this game. I just beat Rom the Vacuous Spider and finished Eileen the Crow's sidequest for the Blade of Mercy and the Crowfeather armor (which looks awesome). I'm about to go tackle Cainhurst Castle next.

Bravo. Your shot timing is impeccable. Tough to connect on those viscerals at the beginning of the Shadows fight.
You made it out of some hairy situations (healed before fireball, got out of rock confinement)

i got to Amygdala last night. The poison areas before are so obnoxious, as is frenzy.
I also arrived with 0 blood vials left and still managed to get him down to half health.

Just beat Darkbeast Paarl
Was actually getting spanked in the fight and at one point thought "there's no way I can beat this thing.". I didn't realize you could keep his electricity down if you kept hitting him and didnt let him recharge.
Definitely the toughest of the bosses so far to me.
This game
And I just now found the place where you use insight to purchase stuff in Hunters Dream....

I think we are in The Show franchise together. We need to Co op this bitch some time.

The amount of visceral damage in NG+ is kind of depressing. I had two runes equip that increase visceral damage.
Still fighting my way through the defiled pthumerian dungeon. I hate how the dungeons go from challenging and fun to continually slamming your dick in a sliding door. You have to be fricking near perfect on the bosses, and that contradicts BB's entire gameplay philosophy. That's honestly my only complaint.

Does Insight affect Chalice difficulty? I've read opposing stories. I was going through them no problem and stopped, then came back with 65 insight and made a Lower Pthumerian dungeon. Layer 2 undead giant has a sword and club and some chains on his back, and he one shots me every time. The amount of health he has is absurd and I can't get him past 75% despite wailing on him for 10min. I don't think I'll ever beat him

Insight doesn't affect boss difficulty.
Yeah, that giant is an a-hole. The first half isn't so bad, but his chains make the second half of the fight extremely difficult since it's hard to dodge. I think I cheesed him with oil urns and molotovs in the second phase. You can probably poison him as well.
The dungeons have some of the hardest bosses in the game. No telling how many tries it took me to beat the goddamn Abhorrent Beast in Ailing Loran.

frick. i may have to summon backup for him then. he's fricking my up
auron, amygdala is easy as shite until he rips his arms off. when he does, stay under his feet and make him jump/stomp. theyre very easy to avoid and you can slowly chip away after

For those who have beaten the game, at what lvl should I be towards the latter parts of the game

Started a waste of skin run while I wait for my buddy so we can finish my main character. Ran all the way up to Gascoigne without dying and just cashed my 5000 souls to get to level 10. Started with axe this time around. Gonna slay cleric and Gascoigne after my night class

I'm doing a bloodtinge build next, with the chikage.

oh shite. nice
if any new guys/lurkers need help, hit me up
this game, man. in DS2, i played through it once and didnt touch it again. I couldnt tell you how to find anything or where to go if you put a gun to my head. with DS and this, I remember where EVERYTHING is and where I have to go. The design is masterful, to say the least.
