Have a lot of fun with the game so far. Definitely a meaty game though. Most games I can’t get over about 95 fps at 1080p running mostly low/medium settings besides texture. Playing vs the bots running in the 110-120 range.
Dropped fov down to 80 and getting consistent 110-120 on most of them. One of the maps was hell on it though. One with the shipping yard. Massive map.
ETA: and now they are inexplicably back in the 80’s to 90’s with no change to settings

I can't get into it at all. Graphics are bad and not being able to voice chat with friends is stupid. Glad I tried it out on the ea play thing, so I'm not out 70 bucks.

I am loving BC2 and 1942. Can't wait for more maps in portal. I think I've only played 2042 twice.

I can’t decide if I like the game or not. All low settings on 1440p and DLSS set to balanced seems to run okay but the game just feels unfinished.
Paid $5 for EA Play to try the game out because I almost dropped $52 on the standard edition on Green Man Gaming.

I think a lot of people (not directed at you, just saying in general) don't remember the absolute cluster-frick that BF4 and BF5 were at launch, and how both of those are both viewed now.

This game is absolute garbage at the moment. BF4 was my favorite but it took over a year after release to get it right. BF V imho was a failure. I don't know if they'll be able to salvage this or not. Portal is cool but actual 2042 is awful. I'm on my 10hr trial and won't be buying anytime soon. I got a series x just in anticipation of this game.

I can't stop playing portal and Hazard zone. Still haven't really played 2042 other than 2 maps launch night.

I don’t know if I’m just easily satisfied as a gamer or what, but I’ve been having a GREAT time with this game—on all modes. It’s full of glitches which I 100% expected, especially being that it isn’t even technically released yet. But most of these issues will be ironed out in a few weeks.
The game is beautiful and honestly the only game of its type. 128 player large scale battles on enormous maps. It makes R6S, OW, COD look like child’s play.

Hated BF 5 and finding it hard to have fun with this one as well unfortunately, is cool to play on the old Bad Company 2 map though, honestly wish we had a full remaster of that game.

Most people, especially with cross play games have moved over to 3rd-party voice chat like Discord.

Yeah, most people I know who game on PC won't ever use the in game voice chat anyways.

Bc2 is one of if not the best fps game. Just fired this one up last night. I didn't much better than expected till the last game and got my arse handed to me. One thing I find odd is there are no mines in this game. I love running as engineer and layin mines down and getting kills that way. I will say that it does seem harder to find a path for vehicles to run over them but it's still odd

I'm the exact opposite. Everyone I game with is pretty frustrated that voice chat isnt available.

Yea it is a mess right now. The shell is there for it to be good, but it is buggy as any BF game has ever been at launch. I've played every Battlefield at launch and this ones is definitely up there as the most polarizing in its current state. The controller stickiness definitely does not seem to be there like in previous titles (controller user problems 
)

I remember seeing an anti-tank mine somewhere in the game but can't remember where. It was in one of the engineer classes I believe, but not sure if it was Bc2 or 3 or what, but when you edited your loadout it was an option.

there is a lovely bug where you get frozen out on the revive screen and have to completely leave the server.
the lack of classes/roles has hurt the gameplay experience, there are little to no medics reviving people, mostly just lone wolf playstyle from teammates and squad members.
also why does the server/lobby not continue and cycle through the maps? why must it kick you out and re-do matchmaking...so many questions...
and it's true that battlefield hasn't had a smooth launch since possibly bf2 or bc2...bf3-bf5 sucked. not even going to mention hardline

I just don't think most realize that everyone can revive now. You don't need to be a medic to do it anymore, but yea nobody is reviving anyone right now.
