But he's excited about a game that came out almost a decade ago. And he has to pay a premium for it.

I finished the first mission "Through Blood and Mud"...and damn. The characters...and the atmosphere...I just, it's just horrifically beautiful.

Is there going to be a hardcore mode for multiplayer when the full game comes out? I hate crosshairs and having to shoot people multiple times with a sniper rifle.

Who wants to play on Xbox?

I'm playing the single player campaign on PC via my TV with a gamepad. That intro mission is fantastic. The tank missions that follow are mostly mediocre. The mission where you drive the tank through the battlefield and release the bird at the end is cool but it goes on a bit long. The mission where you escort the tank through the forest sucks hard.
Too early to really judge the campaign, but it feels like a tutorial for multiplayer with cutscenes which is a disappointment. I hope there are more battles to come that mirror the one in the intro. Right now, I am sneaking through a German-occupied French village looking for parts to repair a tank.

What does that have to do with if he likes that setting or not? I played the beta and it didn't grab me at all. Don't care for the setting and weapons. That's not a commentary on the war itself.

Whats the deal i order off of amazon. They say it releases 21 oct 2016 but i wouldnt receive till oct 25th. The say digital will be available on 21 oct though. Yeah im sure that will take forever with the size of this game and the download speeds. I canceled order. Am i better off just going to Walmart or target?

Probably, or just go digital and preload.
Early enlister version releases 3 days early.
I dropped $110 on the Ultimate Edition with season pass because of all the content to come like BF4. Also releases on the 18th.
Cannot. Wait.

I'm the opposite. I needed a break from the futuristic COD and contemporary setting of the recent Battlefield games.
It was time to return to an older setting. I would have preferred WW2, but WW1 is different. I like it. I hope COD takes a hint and makes a WW2 game soon.
Or maybe another one set in Vietnam.

r/Games thread had a lot of people saying they didn't like the beta, but are really enjoying the full version.

I went and played 1 game of the IW Beta before deleting it, my god what a terrible terrible game.
At one point this Reaper turned into a 4 legged unkillable dog that could tumble and jump 50 feet in the air. That was when I closed and deleted the beta and truly appreciated BF1.

Do the menus chug for anyone else? PC version.
Also, how do you quit a game before the next match starts?

It doesnt help that load times on my PC are super long. Can't decide if it's an HD or CPU issue
