In your expert opinion, is the final game a hit? MP at least, who cares about SP?

Only got to play one game. I suck with the 9033A stock. What weapons you liking so far?

I only played about 4 hours last night, but early on it appears to be a solid BF and will be the most popular FPS around here for 2015.
It's different than BF3 and BF4, as they were almost clones. While the BF GUI remains nearly the same, you still unlock battle packs, and the controls are the same. It differs in game speed, the setting (cops vs robbers), map verticality, and the game modes.
It's faster paced and to me, requires more communication and teamwork to be successful. Especially in the new game modes: Crosshair, Blood Money, Heist. Which I like. I love all the new game modes. Can't see myself just switching between 1 or 2, like Rush and Conquest. I've thouroughly enjoyed playing all of the new game modes so far. Helps having a full squad tho.
All of the weapons that I have seen and been killed by appear balanced. There didn't seem to be an out of the gate obvious gun for everyone like we've seen in COD revisions. Same for the gadgets. All have their function and time and place. I haven't tripped over 400 claymores or been anihilated by people throwing satchel charges like footballs at everything that moves.
There's a lot more verticality to the gameplay than previous BF maps, even on smaller maps. Which takes adjusting to. I'm very unfamiliar with any map that wasn't on the beta. The verticality is works tho because of the new equipment like zip lines and grappling hooks. You aren't just spending the entire match looking for the stairway to get where everyone else is.
And honestly for a BF launch, last night was flawless other than a 30 minute stretch we couldn't get in. Little to no lag, squad system worked, seemed fine in that department.
My complaints so far:
- There's a lot of vehicles on some maps for some gametypes, yet unlike previous BFs....there's no anti-vehicle weapons to help take them out. The newb tube on the Engineer class doesn't really do much to help there. So you have to find the weapon spawns on the maps to take them out. Different.
- I'm worried about the Crosshair game mode becoming nothing more than a sniping competition.
- There's only a few clear weather daytime maps. It's always either dark or rainy on a lot of the maps.

save up for the M16 or G36C or AK74u. That R0993 is a POS

I have the m16, m4, sg553,aku74. Like them all. I have a feeling the m4 is going to be the one I lean on when I get enough kills to use it on both sides.
M16- Most stopping power, lots of jump
M4- Highest rate of fire, easy recoil pattern
sg553- Moderate rate of fire, seems solid overall
aku74- It is a laser, slow rate of fire though

I'm hearing a lot of hate out there for the game, but some love too. Most of the hate I've heard is from Battlefield fan boys who want a new Battlefield military game. They're mad that EA used Battlefield 3's engine. They're also mad about some of the games modes. The Hotwire mode in particular. Essentially you don't have to shoot anything to level up. You can just ride around in a car and unlock almost everything in the game while collecting a shite ton of cash. I think they have hate that players can level up to the top while doing this.
I've had a shite load of fun playing it. Is it worth $60, I don't know. I guess if you really enjoy playing it, it is. Some people spent a total of like $100+ for the "deluxe" or "premium" packages. I definitely don't think it's worth that much.

Hotwire is amazing.
Don't these knuckleheads know that Battlefield 5 will be the military game? This is like the Black Ops and Modern Warfare in CoD. EA is doing Battlefield and then Hardline...they're hoping to get something to alternate yearly so that they can get the games on two year dev cycles.

Who really knows. It's really the same type of people who are pissed about Destiny. Halo fan boys who didn't get what THEY wanted so they bitch. I watched a Twitch stream yesterday from a guy I really like who loved Battlefield 4. He played Hardline for 5 hours and bitched and made fun of it the whole time. That's when you know you can't take what they say about the game seriously. They're just bitter and trying to put out as much hate as they can about a game.

Thread isn't official without a minimum of three asterisks at the beginning of the title.

I really wish you would of stuck around in destiny for longer than a week. But you took your kickball, and went home.
