I'm going to hold off on the demo and go in fresh. Maybe start the demo a couple days before release.

I was out of town for the first few days of each demo release, so I'm just going to wait until it releases

Demo is super fun. So happy that the Bravely team got to leave Bravely Default behind.

I hope they bring Bravely eventually to Switch. But I am super excited for Octopath. I'll start the demo maybe a week before release.

I started with Therion The Thief. Your save data from the demo transfers over to the main game so it's not a waste of time to get the demo started.

I started with the summoner, this games is phenomenal. I actually didn't even like Bravely that much, but this game has my attention

I finally got to play the demo yesterday. I started with Ophilia the Cleric and finished her intro in about an hour. Once I was finished, I preordered from Amazon. I'm really looking forward to this one.

Keep going then! Most people can finish the chapter 1 for 3 characters in the demo.

Haven’t played a real traditional JRPG in awhile. FFX was my last real experience and a joyful one at that. I’ve been eyeing the thread and have been meaning to DL the demo and was hoping it would light a fire in me.
I decided to go with Apothecary after viewing all the classes. It was least appealing to me and I figured if I played with this class and enjoyed it then....damn I’m probably going to have 7 more I will enjoy.
It took me all of 3 battles and I was sold.
I have only played 30min and I know for a fact that is all I needed. Pre-paid. Can’t wait.
ETA: I also can’t be the only one who feels like they are going Super Saiyan when I boost.

Awesome! It definitely hooked me early as well. Keep in mind that your progress will carry over, so you should keep on going as the game comes out on Friday.

Seems as if the first character you choose is your main(and never leaves the party) and that once you meet the others you just get a....flashback? or do you actually play the other story's like you did with your main?
Im also just trying to figure out if once im done gathering them all and I have a preference to one character...do I need to restart with them as my main...or if none of it really matters..

Stupid question - how do you change characters? Do you have to travel to the next place on map and then change?
ETA - Figured it out. You have to discover them with your party and then they join.

Keep in mind that the enemies scale to party size and overall progression, so don't be afraid to go along through it at your own pace or with whomever you choose.

Soooo Alfyn the main I chose in the demo is apparently a highly respected character. He can essentially be a healing tank and a little OP.

Soloing the First Flamekeeper with the Cleric was hard as hell.
