Anyone try this out?
Just finished the demo version of one of the available characters.
Pretty cool. Good asthetics.

Haven't tried it out, but have read that Square Enix is really listening to player feedback with this and using this game as a measuring stick for their involvement on the Switch.
My only concern is if the story will get too stretched out or confusing with eight different characters having their own basically.
I'll probably still get it next month. One, because it looks good and I like the differing stories, and two, if it helps Square Enix get more involved on the Switch, I'm all for it

Square Enix created a team just for the Switch.
I'm getting it, but I didn't play the demo. I wanted to go in fresh.

I get the lengthinees concern. Both demo stories are very well done and leave a good thread hanging for the full game.
What I really like is the attack system. It has some new elements to other JRPGs I've played.

I'm still likely going to get it even if it is a long game. I always love a good storyline, and if they can reel off eight of them that connect at some point, I'm sold

And your progress carries over to the main game.

Pectus, you give the second demo a go or just staving off until the whole game comes out?

I played the second demo. Seems good, the graphics are gorgeous. I will probably pick it up at release.

I played as Therion The Thief for 3 hours and I loved the game. The graphics are beautiful and remind me of Chrono Trigger.
The battle mechanics are simple and the boost ability is implemented smoothly allowing for more powerful attacks.
The story seems to be well thought out and I like that you have to experience the other traveler's story lines before you can add them to your party, which will allow you to learn the other character's back story.
I will be buying the game, it's priced at 59.99 but I will be using Amazon for that sweet pre-order discount.

I've got that same deal at Best Buy so it makes a lot of new game purchases more worth it.
How different are the character storylines from one another?

I can’t speak for them all, but the ones I’ve seen are relatively different. All of them follow some common tropes (all set out on adventure for different reasons, etc), but each character has their own separate motivation. I assume they will all merge together.
