I tried to do all of the side quests and ended up getting a bit annoyed that I couldn't figure some of them out right away. 
Just made it to Goldshore last night and started Alfyn's.

What is your progress now?
I am making my way through chapter 3s in order of difficultly (recc level).
So far two of those stories are the best the game has!
I'll give my fav party/jobs when I get all members leveled to max JP so I can use any skill.

I'm just wrapping up chapter 2 for everyone, but prim is my favorite bar none
H'aant, Thereon, and Olberic's stories are as good as most JRPG stories
Ophillia and Cyrus have the ability to throw some surprises in the end (I think Ophillia's story is going to play heavily into the final dungeon, as her character has already had a lot of cross over with all of the other characters; the military force in the region works for Ophillia's family basically)
Tressa is probably the strongest character, but the weakest story, alfyn is boring all around

Yeah, I'm basically playing this game with IGN open, modern games and their shiny highlighted paths has made me a very lazy RPGer

Finishing the last chapter 2.
I do wish I would have picked 4 characters and played their 1-4 from start to end. And then the other 4 characters from start to end. I think it would have been more enjoyable.

Yeah, not sure how I didn't think of that while playing. I'm sure it would have made the random traveling skits a lot more fleshed out.

I have a set 4 person team for each story to help with the skits.
So when I'm playing Ophillia's story: I always have olric, thressa, and prim in my party. I do this for all stories - and I feel like it's really helped me put groups together

I've gotten stuck on two chapter 3 bosses so far. I just need to think if my party and their sub jobs are the right composition for this fight.

Welp...I feel like a crappy player and a cheapskate...I had to beat a level 3 boss with a bunch of elemental stones.
This is a party that has chracter levels mostly in the 40s too...

I've beaten a few bosses by using an insane strategy... that basically makes me a god, so I fully understand

Sooooo I've been working on the ultimate boss for awhile now and still haven't been able to win the fight...
It's been like 15-20 hours working on it at least, at this point. Good luck to anyone that wishes to go through with this torture

I grinded to level 75, got the best weapons, captured the devourer of dreams and went in thinking I was prepared. I made one wrong move and got wrecked with quickness. I will not attempt again

It's probably the hardest turn-based boss I've ever fought. You can't become "god-like" like the others I've fought in the past, and you have to literally break the system multiple times to win.... it's BAAAAAAAD
(like right now I'm farming revitalizing jams... so I can spam the Apothicary Ultimate on 1 character - use revitalizing jam so it goes to the whole party - so your entire team stays full health and 5 SP continuously throughout the fight)
