I didn't OC it at all. It would screw up when I was just scrolling down a webpage.

Holy hell, I hate typing on a phone.
Yea, I understand you didn't OC the APU but the RAM still needs to be OC'd.

Going to microcenter tomorrow....
670 4GB or 680?

what resolution? how much do you really want to spend?
If you plan on going to 1440 then the 4gb 670 over a 2gb 680. If you only want to run 1080 I would just get a 2gb 670. The 680 doesn't give that much more performance to justify the price increase. If you just have to have top of the line, youre best price/performance point would be a 7950 or 7970.
guess who listed their 690
I very nearly bid on a 4gb evga 670 sc the other day on bay if coyote hadn't talked me off the ledge. Still love my gigabyte windforce 670 2gb

With the increased resolution the memory is a bigger issue I take it?
Posted on 3/12/13 at 10:02 pm to Mr Gardoki
Yea at 1440p/eyefinity games will use a heck of a lot of memory. 1080p you'll rarely see many games use more than 2, if ever

AA uses a lot of memory right? Or is that just processing power?
Posted on 3/12/13 at 10:09 pm to Mr Gardoki
Thats one of the big users of memory. There's no Much point in going higher than 2-4xAA
Posted on 3/12/13 at 10:16 pm to bluebarracuda
Yea I noticed frames drop significantly when AA is used
Posted on 3/12/13 at 10:38 pm to Mr Gardoki
some people actually dislike AA. General consensus is that resolution, textures, shadows/lighting, frames(to a certain extent) etc are all more important to worry about than AA.
Posted on 3/12/13 at 11:39 pm to puffulufogous
I would agree somewhat. I was messing around the other day and turned AA off completely, that was noticeable.

I did, guy contacted me Monday night about returning the item. Posted it just to start drawing in traffic.
Eta: He claimed it wasn't compatible with his system. I call bullshite but we settled on a 20% payment.

He.. Duh is paying S&H costz, I just wanted something to cover seller fee.

I would love a 690 but there's no way I can justify it

Actually not at all. Iwas doing a search for 4gb 670s. It came up in the related search field and I recognized it by the super high quality picture.
