that had to be intense.

@chad its like a survival horror, heavy emphasis on the horror iirc

From my brief experience with the first one, it's heavy on the jump scares.

Yeah from what I've seen Outlast is more of an interactive experience than a game. There's really no combat or anything to actively do, you just sorta progress through the story and the environments and have to run/hide from all danger.

Seems like the type of thing perfect for VR IMO.

Horror is actually one genre where I think focusing almost entirely on immersion and experience over gameplay makes sense.

I love scary movies, but for some reason I can’t do scary games. They absolutely terrify me lol.

I'm a pussy. Parts of HL2 scared me.

I’m not even sure if I was in the actual game part yet. It was still downloading but I got to start it up. Watched the intro, crashed. Then came to in a long hallway with lockers on one side and a cross at the end. The ambient sounds and a locker flying open was all it took

I beat both of them and don't like horror games but I liked them for some reason. 1 is a lot jump scarier than 2.

Probably going to get some time with Outlast 2 this weekend. The horror content has Mrs. Vox intrigued.

Outlast 2 is good, but Outlast is better. If you haven’t played it, you seriously ought to. It’s tough to get through, but well worth it.
