You missed the biggest news.....

They announced in a 2 second flash that Episode I: Pod Racer is coming.

That's huge. That game was actually incredible.

Eh, it's coming in 2021...probably Christmas. Plenty of time. It will get a mention in a direct then it's own full direct.

The Zelda thing is to be expected, this was a mini-direct, they aren't about to announce a Zelda game in a mini-direct.

The thing that's not expect by me... we still don't have a Christmas game this year. What is left at this point?! Pikmin 4?

Let's see, possible games are:

Bayonetta 4 (doesn't seem like a Christmas seller..)
Star Fox (seems kinda dead after the stupid WiiU game)
Kid Icarus (seems even more dead than the two above)
Mario Kart?!?! (Why would they do this when the port is still selling phenomenally?!?!)
Metroid Prime 4? (Seems a little too soon?)

ugh, my head hurts

Doom will probably be November/December. I bet some of the other big 3rd Parties are then.

I think we get another remaster this year in the vein of Toad Treasure Tracker or something.

And I think we get big expansions for some like Animal Crossing and/or another Pokemon expansion.

I think it's possible we get something like Arms 2 or....gasp...Mario Super Strikers. A "new" game but probably built on a current engine.

I still expect a Kingdom Hearts port still......

Expect the unexpected, sure. I should say "guess" rather than expect? Those are all a hypothesis. Based on:

1) Nintendo won't miss out on a Christmas game
2) While BotW sequel could be some MASSIVE surprise, I don't think so
3) Andavari is right about everything else
4) So it must be a) A big 3rd party unknown like Kingdom Hearts or something b) Another big Nintendo port - think Paper Mario or Strikers that pairs with a Bayonetta or something or c) A surprise title which would almost HAVE to be a "sequel" built off of a familiar engine. The ARMs Smash announcement makes me think that title now has legs. Seems early for a sequel, but you never know with Nintendo.

And my guess is Animal Crossing expansions, given the immediate success, will carry Nintendo until BotW. That games could make a lot of money. They aren't do expansion passes yet, but my guess is they do with a BIG update at some point.

This rhythm mode will be the thing that makes my wife pick up this game. She loves Splatoon & Mario Odyssey.

RFA is my rest day workout really between rowing, running and biking. Then when it's raining or snowing I can amp it up. It's a super solid title and the new stuff is actually pretty great.

That has been a lifesaver for me. Got it from Xmas and thought it was a gag gift. Now it's one of my few options for exercising. I actually really like it.
