Yes, if they come to some sort of agreement that’ll let players make money off their likeness, the game will come back. They’re supposed to have an answer by October. Then the game will begin development and probably won’t release until 2020 or 2021

Why not just license the schools and have the players just be generic players? No need to have specific players in the games.

Because you would still have players filing lawsuits about something stupid

Also, I think a long time ago EA either straight up said or hinted that they wouldn’t want to make another game unless they could be as authentic as possible. In other words, they don’t want to just throw generic players out there. They want the real players, real schools, real everything. I respect that. So when the game does come back, it’s gonna be the real deal

Why would I play a college football game when I could easily do that in real life if I didn’t have a masters already

Let 2k do it. NCAA by the end had gotten bloated and shitty anyways, like Madden

i kinda agree.

if they do bring back NCAA they will use the Madden engine and just reskin it into a college game.

and the new Maddens have had trash gameplay the past few years. i dont wanna play anymore football games based on that broken engine

I never thought the NCAA games were bad. I loved them even tho EA made them. I don’t mind EA making them again either. But if I had a choice, I’d pick 2K

Marketing has started, just not for the football one.

With the NCAA exploring compensation for names and likeness, we got to thinking...

Would buy both. My fandom over college basketball dwindled big time beyond LSU when they quit making NCAA Basketball.
