This game looks so damn good. Still no confirmed release date just a window of summer 2023.

Man. I've not been impressed by all of the previous stuff we've seen for this game and I've long since abandoned hope of SE doing anything decent that's not a remake with this series, but this trailer is really good.
The plot looks a little bit too close to a political drama a la FF12 for me, but still looks pretty solid. The combat though looks absolutely phenomenal, much better than what they've showed before. Great trailer.

On a serious note, that looks really good and Yoshi P is a phenomenal Game Producer / Designer, so I'm sure it'll be great.

Looks badass. I don’t have the patience or time for turn based games these days so I’m cool with the action oriented gameplay personally.

It’s definitely the best trailer yet. You can tell an insane amount of polish has been done and the gameplay UI looks a lot more smooth.

This game could be fantastic, but this ain't Final Fantasy 
I hate how big budget JRPG franchises have almost all but died out sans SMT and Dragon Quest.

It would be nice if they made mainline FF’s in both the old school turn based and more action oriented for both sides of the fan base.

FF7 remake already delivered an almost perfect blending of that. This will be almost a pure action game though it seems.

FF7 Remake, brah. FF has something for everyone these days.
I am one of the few who loved FF XV, particularly it’s combat, so I’m hoping FFXVI’s combat system is as similar to that as possible.

There is no "fan base" for this modern style of Final Fantasy. It's trend chasing to attempt to appeal to western gamers.

Are you really sure? The newer games continue to sell very well. While I know many who want to just play ATB RPGs, those people have plenty of other options (even made by Square Enix) if they want that gameplay style.

2) that looks absolutely nothing like dark souls. Not even 1%
3) the game just looks frickkng flat out good and they have swagger and confidence just dropping trailers on Thursday morning without a word. That tells me they know they’ve got a hit.
4) FF is a franchise that covers an extremely broad range of things and topics and themes and setttjngs and how gameplay+ combat interweave with all of them. This looks very much like a mature final fantasy title in the series mold (finally).
