Set to be released Tuesday, March 27 but you can get it on the 23 with pre-order. Anyone else excited for the release?

What're some of the things y'all are excited for?

I may actually wait until OS releases the roster until I get it, I hate starting franchises and then starting over once the minor league rosters drop

Excited every year for this release.

By far one of the best sports games. Maybe better than 2k with its realism.

I'm hoping the broadcast really is better like they say it's going to be.

It absolutely infuriates me that Xbox can’t get a major MLB game

I came so close to buying a ps4 just for this series. There are days where I still think about it.

Supposedly the big change made to Franchise mode was that they streamlined the menus and made it easier to understand the roster management "phases" of running a team...

Other than that, supposedly they completely revamped the Road to Glory mode. I didn't watch any of the videos to see what is different, but I do know that the progression system is completely different.

Other than that, I think they fixed some uniforms/colors, added more retro uniforms (Expos...), and probably did a lot with the Diamond Dynasty that I never touch.

If the operationsports guys would still dedicate time to updating the MLB 17 rosters, then I'd probably pass on this game, but I'm anxious to play with the Braves using updated ratings for the edited prospects.

I was doing that exact thing for a long time and eventually broke down and got the PS4. The Show is literally the only game I own

I'm hoping the commentary is better/different too, it feels like they've been saying the same things in the booth for the last 4-5 years.

Supposedly they did the commentary together this time, rather than separate times and piecing it together. Seems like there should be some better flow to it

Just got ‘17 for my son for $15. I haven’t played the series for a good 5 years. Sat down and started road to the show...seems like it got easier to hit. Finished my first season batting .632 with 73 hrs and 151 rbis...called up on June 6th. I power swing every time. Power rating only 70. Seems off, but it’s fun.

Haven't bought this game in about 3 years. The online play was/is just horrid. I read numerous complaints about it last year as well. I'll wait and see how this issue plays out this year before buying. The game has always been amazing and had ton of potential. But the online issues have just killed it for me personally.

I've never tried to play online with the PS4 version. On PS3, I tried but the timing of hitting was just too way off.

Yeah, it's not the best game for online play, that's for sure. I've tried a couple of times but the timing of hitting is just way too off to really get into.

I play offline Franchise 100% of the time so I'm happy with what they offer. Just hope they have some new mechanics and commentary and I'll be happy

The Franchise Mode is so bland in MLB The Show

Fantastic game but I wish they would have put more work into Franchise

What would you like to see added? Relocation, expansions, etc?

I'd like to see a feature that would allow us to edit divisions (move HOU back to the NL Central for instance). Kind of like how NCAA football (rip) allowed

If they took out challenge of the week, I'm out. I didn't really get into 2017 because I was in the middle of studying for the CPA exam, but in 2016 I put all my time into challenge of the week and diamond dynasty. Diamond dynasty was surprisingly deep and fun. They tapped into that addiction of the missions with a lot of mobile games.

I like Franchise well enough. I do wish they'd incorporate relocations, expansion, stadium upgrades, etc, but I can understand why they don't.

I think the problem with it being "bland" is that the season is so long. If you play the games, it takes forever to get through and it can be hard to reap the benefits from building your system up. If you sim then you don't get to see your prospects in action.

I've done everything from sim all games until the playoffs to playing every game. I've never been able to get myself to enjoy partial sim/partial play seasons for whatever reason. I guess I hate to have player stats that are a mix of me and the computer LOL

I remember playing with the Braves on MVP 2005 and bringing up Sean Blancard (Kyle Davies), Joel Doonan (Jeff Francoeur), Enrique Rodriguez (Andy Marte), and Juan Berroa (Brian McCann).
