They also said "we have a plan for used games and just please wait for more info" that very same day yet for the next week you were still presenting it as a cold hard fact.
Link? I'm pretty sure I made it a point to back off posting about it once more info came out.

i'll ask this again, maybe you can help me.
in what scenario will a true gamer have his xbox unplugged from an internet connection for more than 24 hours?
name me a reasonable scenario that isn't few and far between the normal consumer.
Why even require a check in every 24 hours? What's the benefit?

and wait, weren't the PS fanbois shouting about the One's form factor. About how it looks to be the size of a 1980's VCR? who's going to be toating that thing around?.....if the other rumor you believe is in fact true
What rumor?

your act. it's washed up.
again, i'll ask.....
provide me with a scenario where a true gamer would unplug his system for more than 24 hours. not remote unlikely scenarios. and not another question.

You expected differently?
Not really. I was reading a thread on another forum and they brought up a good point. Sony fanboys seem to be worried because of the ground Xbox has made up on Sony this gen. Especially in the past 3 years where Xbox has been pretty dominate.

No true gamer will allow the size of the system dictate whether they purchase.
The original box was huge. The original ps3 was a monster too.
This is not a valid arguement. I have receivers the same size.

If anything the past few weeks should teach people not to make too many assumptions about either console.

ughh, re-read my post. that's not what i'm questioning or pointing out. that's a jab. sigh, this is just getting sad.

I'm not digging through your posts but I remember you were still doing for a while even after they said "please wait for more info"
You weren't the only FWIW

Storms, how about soldiers overseas (serious question), some people do have shitty internet, believe it or not. In 2010, 70% or so of 360s were connected to the internet, MS is saying screw you to those people.
Now, what benefits does checking in every 24 hours provide? And what rumor were you referring to?

What's trololol about that?
The Sony fanboys being worried is hyperbole maybe but the rest is true.
Sony dominated with the PS2. No one was even close. This time they fell behind the Wii and were pretty far ahead of Xbox until the past 3 years were Xbox has really made up ground and dominated console sales for the majority of months.

I'm not reading through this entire tread, and I'm sure this has already been said a number of times, but there is absolutely no way that Sony "goes rogue" and doesn't implement roughly the exact same system. Microsoft might as well not make a next-gen console if they're alone in this.

I just dug through my own posts. Here's one from the day after the reveal:
LINK

All of those tweets are from yesterday from their support's twitter. This was at the same time Phil Harrison was contradicting what they were saying. Microsoft's most recent stance is they will release details later and you'll be able to sell games back to physical retailers.
I believe that is my most recent post on used games. Care to make up more bullshite?

Since it's OK for others to speculate and make conclusions I will say I think this will be an industry wide thing. I think game devs have asked for this because of the used game market and they want a way to make money off of it. Don't think this won't benefit Sony and MS in some way we may not know about. It might be that more new games sale so they get more licensing fees or something.
I see no big deal with it as long as games get cheaper faster like they do on Steam.

Sony is about going to crush Microsoft this generation if they don't pull a rabbit out of their arse at E3
Posted on 6/6/13 at 9:17 pm to Bunta
Like I said I am not digging through your history but I remember you saying some things way after the reveal still.
