how many of these rumors have come out, been linked, then microsoft put out a public statement later proving them false? think they will ever learn? at least provide a link.

I should have kept a tally of the Sony bash threads vs Xbox bash threads. It's pretty lopsided now I think.
We bashed and joked for a day or two after the reveal and that was it. The other side has been non stop for a few weeks now.

Are you referring to the 24 hour check in specifically? Because that's directly on MS's website.

Exactly. I remember Cs and Bunta specifically after the reveal were both saying it was a fact you couldn't play used games without a fee instead of just waiting to find out like MS asked everyone to do.
Bunta just in this thread said you couldn't sell games to a friend to only find out later his conclusion was wrong.

in what scenario will a true gamer have his xbox unplugged from an internet connection for more than 24 hours?
name me a reasonable scenario that isn't few and far between the normal consumer.

Oh, you mean when the corporate VP of Microsoft was saying that? It's not my fault they didn't have their shite together and couldn't put out consistent information.

As far as Cs conclusion, I don't see how you could argue with him. Being able to play a game without linking it to your account would be a huge flaw in the system that Microsoft is trying to build. He has no link that directly says that but critical thinking skills can lead you to that assumption.
