The thing is, now that we know this news: you wouldn't have bought the switch for this game, it wouldn't have been good enough.
So really unfortunately for you, this news means it'll be good enough that you feel like you have to buy a switch.
But let's be honest sic, you are never buying a switch, then you couldn't be the Nintendo guy with a stick up his arse. You will play Prime 4 on Alien's switch and say something like "it wasn't good enough to justify the purchase"

Or the same thing will happen that did with Odyssey when I borrowed his switch then: I enjoyed the game, but when I beat it, I was done, and returned it.
Haven't had the urge to play a switch game since.

Keep a higher standard. With all the shite games companies are just putting out there...im pleased when i see things like this. Same with FF7 remake.

You mean the same cold hard numbers that say the Switch is the fastest selling console this generation, and is like top 5 all time at this point in its life cycle with the Wii/PS2/DS?

Look, I told geaux this earlier, I'm taking this personal. The first Prime game is at the top of my list of all time great games and the prospect of getting a modern iteration had my nintendo giddy for the first time in a while. I'm seriously crestfallen that we are back to square one.

I would always prefer delays over rushed projects with name value forced out that leave a bad taste in my mouth.
games get delayed all the time...as long as the delay is not open ended(development hell) + the game is a quality addition to the console/franchises library I dont care about timing so much as long as there are other gaming options in the mean time which the switch has.
Nintendo has more than enough consumer confidence from me to trust them when it comes to their top and beloved franchises minus whatever they did to Star Fox...IDK what the hell happened there

I agree......for the most part (we need another damn 3D Donkey Kong game, Reggie), but Smash isn't for me, Pokemon isn't for me, and everyone remembers my game pricing rant. I played Mario, fun but I'm done with it, BotW just never stuck, so I'm not left with much.

There was actually a former sales rep on Reddit that said that people exactly like you (the more mature or rather serious gamer that prefers top titles that pay huge attention to detail etc. or just appreciate a damn good game) are essentially the actual target of the Metroid series when it’s a system seller. They’re trying to steal people away primarily from the Microsoft crowd cause they know that America is where Metroid’s crowd primarily is. Interesting stuff to say the least.

Agreed except for botw.
I'm tempted to trade mine back and get my psvr back bc I traded that in when the switch came out bc I played RE7 and they had no other games for a good while. Now there's some great stuff.
As for metroid inlm hearing the trilogy is about to be released on the switch, that might hold me off until 4
Also want to echo something someone else said here, the AM2R is amazing. If you have a pc and a controller, play it is really, really good
