Is Rainbow Six Siege still worth it?

It has great reviews, but as I understand it, gets stale quickly if you don't have any friends that also play it. Something to do with teamkilling.

Bf1 just doesn't have that "it" factor to keep me wanting to play it.

What says the gaming board?

My initial thoughts exactly.

It's just a teamwork-heavy game, and runs into the same problems most other shooters with any kind of tactical element run into when you play with randoms.

I thought I would like it, but it just doesn't feel right to me. Didn't like any of the mechanics.

Picked it up when it was on sale for $25. It's pretty fun when you have a group together and play.

It's super easy to make friends on there considering a lot of people play with mics. The game played with a squad of communicators that want to win is what makes the game great.

You can easily meet new people, I've met at least 20-30 good players just by playing casual with a mic in and talking and I play in a crew with a lot of them. I wouldn't buy the season pass though unless you absolutely want early access to the new operators when they drop.

Or join R6 communities and join random parties until you find a group. And for the love of God, always play this game with your mic on. Communication is key

Got it when it was $25 and now play it with a friend nearly every night lol. We mostly do terrorist hunt together and some 1v1. It can get boring to play by yourself though.

I wish the season 2 characters dropped in renown price every now and then. 25,000 for one character seems like a lot for people just now getting the game

Its probably the only FPS that has not gotten stale for me after a few months and I've been playing since it was released. Its a very unique game. I play with randoms a lot and rarely encounter team killing on purpose.

It is absolutely the best FPS on this generation of consoles. It takes some getting used to and it's an adjustment but once you figure out how to play and communicate it is a lot of fun. It's a real challenge too. Lots of tense moments.

Here's the problem the OP will face.

1: the learning curve. The operators all have unique skills. But understanding how to use those skills to your advantage can be hard to learn. Also it can be difficult to adjust to the slower pace. You run and gun and you will die. Learning the sight lines can also be difficult.

2: if you don't know people who have the game it can be hard to break in with a good squad. We have a few people here that play pretty regularly and the lineups are set.

TLDR: Steep learning curve and not having a consistent crew can make this game painful to learn.

Buy it. You won't take it out of your PS4.

Only game I've been playing recently on xbone. Would be interested in playing with some people here.

I think you're more of a daytime player. I'm normally on at night (preferably Thursday-Sunday).

Usually play in the mornings on weekends. Not really much during the week.

Mid season reinforcements are tomorrow and they are adding test servers. Glaz gets a thermal sight. We will see how that works.
