Was good, but it doesn’t top getting to Mexico in Red Dead, or the first time you see Ornstein & Smough in Dark Souls.
And I’m sure there are other big moments I’m forgetting. Yeah, the song in DA:Inquisition was up there too.

I loved BOTW, but no. It was a neat "Oh crap!" moment when you realized how powerful they were and saw their moveset but that was about it. While we're on the topic, the game really needed more enemies of this type. I don't mean more Lynel's specifically, but more enemies with multiple ways to attack you to make the combat more interesting.
None of the other enemies in the game are particularly unique in that respect outside of maybe the "test of strength" guardians and those quickly lose their luster over how many times they're repeated with very little variation.

No, encounters with regular enemies in Bloodborne/Dark Souls have been more memorable for me.

BB was full of those moments for me. But yes, the snatchers... I remember seeing the one just hanging out in the corner, and I went to kill him... he destroyed me with ease. It was humbling.
Man, now i want to replay Bloodborne.

I'll be honest, coming across the Lynel isn't even the biggest moment for me in this game. Seeing a dragon flying around for the first time definitely has that honor. That coupled with the music made for a literally jawdropping experience. I just sat and watched it move. Still have yet to grow a set big enough to attack one.

I absolutely lost my shite the first time I saw Farosh pop up out of Lake Hylia. But then I have an irrational fear of large bodies of water (even in video games) so that probably had a lot to do with it
I would say that the trek up Mount Lanayru and finding the corrupted Naydra and the battle to get into Vah Ruta were my favorite moments from the game and among my favorite gaming moments ever.
My first lynel was in the Colosseum; went there first thing off the plateau and got my arse kicked.

The first time that I ran into Jaws in one of the bonus levels of Goldeneye was pretty intense. I turned the corner and he was there and he absolutely destroyed me.

Pretty much all of OOC is the best moment in gaming.
I wish I could forget it and play through it again.

I really wish BOTW had an aspect of this. It sucks you don't get to see what Castle Town would have looked like this generation. Also, I feel like a central Hylian town was so big in OOT and MM
