I need a “new” PS5 game to play.

I was out and about today and decided to pop into GameStop for the first time in forever. Looking at the available titles I realized I didn’t know shite about any of the ones I had not already played. The title doesn’t need to be new in fact it could be a PS4 original if it’s good.
Favorite games are:
God of War
Horizon series
Last of Us
Witcher 3
Days Gone
BioShock series
I really like open world games but not against semi open games like God of War. Haven’t played many RPGs but if they aren’t super tedious and have a decent amount of action would not be opposed to them. I really like games with an outstanding story “plot”.
Thanks in advance.

Ghost of Tsushima is the first game I platinum’d in a hot minute.
Pretty sure it’s free in the collection now… idk it it isn’t it should be on sale regularly

Cyberpunk is pretty solid since the patches and the DLC is great. It's going to run you about 120 hours though

just from limited info you provided this was going to be my suggestion
if you like Japanese history pieces i can almost guarantee you will like this game. even if you dont, its a fantastic game and fit well into the genres your comfortable with.

Your favorite games list looks similar to mine and I’d say Ghost of Tsushima is one of if not my favorite game of all time. It’s so well done. You NEED to play this game.
Also, Rise of Ronin just came out recently and has been a surprise, I’m really enjoying it and I think based on what you said here I think you would too.

FF7 Remake and Rebirth, depends on your definition of tedious. Also Demon's Souls.

Red Dead Redemption series (some of the GOATs)
Ghost of Tsushima (amazing game)
Dishonored series (steam punk style game)
Spider-Man 1 and 2 (super fun open world action)
Resident evil 4 remake (semi open and a little like Last of Us.. well made)
Underrated - immortals: Fenyx rising

If you like open world, look at Dragon's Dogma 2 (PS5) or Death Stranding (PS4).
For action in a semi open world, I'd recommend Bloodborne (PS4).

I love all of the games you listed, and I will say that Ghost of Tsushima is a must-play.
That being said- I usually HATE online multiplayer games. Despite this, I ended up getting Helldivers 2.
I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve had this much fun gaming. $40 for an incredibly fun, well-developed game. No pay-to-win and zero incentive for anyone to PK. Plus the satire and Starship Troopers-type humor is awesome.

The Horizon series was really fun to play. Both are on PS+.

I'm playing Rise of Ronin right now too and it's surprised me how much I'm enjoying it.

I’m sure these two have been said but I’m just doubling down if you haven’t played RDR2 and Ghost of Tsushima director cut go sod those. In that order.

So far I really like it. I do find myself running around on foot a lot and not riding the horse chasing foxes and shite. Predators seem to be few and far between for getting furs to upgrade. First and only Bear I’ve came across nearly whipped my arse. The gameplay is great once some of the moves became second nature. I’m not very far in and I’ve been doing a lot of side quest and looting trying to get enough shite for upgrades.
It does have a Horizon feel even though the enemies and combat are fairly different.
I do wish you could craft ammo (arrows) or at least buy them from the bow dealer or retrieve them from dudes you shot. Those things are hard to come by.
