They have to include Gwent again, right?

I would rather they focus on the story and world building than some stupid card game

I gotta say I put off Gwent until late game and realized I had way more satisfaction crushing someone in Gwent than defeating a boss. If I ever replay the game it will be for Gwent.

In a vacuum, sure, but Gwent is already fully coded and actualized. If they don’t include it, it’s because they chose not to, not because it would have taken any substantial amount of effort to add it into future games.

Ages ago, but that was in very early pre production. You’re starting to see rumors that they have a full dev team working at full steam now. Basically nothing about it is known yet, though.

I think there was also rumors about a remake of the first game.

Has to be one of the best mini-games ever. Hope they keep it the same as opposed to mimicking what the stand-alone turned in to.

The stand alone was shite. I think a big part of Gwent being so popular is the fun of tracking down the best cards throughout the game.

Nothing made me happier than getting a great deck and destroying those barkeeps that beat me early game. Eat spies assholes.

i would love to see full fledged gwent tournaments in the game.

right now im more concerned about them finding a protagonist as good as geralt.

I'm out of the loop. Has CDPR announced this??

If so:

I don't see how they could possibly follow up W3 with a better title. W3 was "game of the century" material. But if they make the next title even 75% as good, it's a GOTY contender for sure.

Nothing like watching opponent go HAM on the front line with the monster deck and I drop a freeze card on that arse

Speaking of monster decks, they are responsible for one my bad Gwent memory, and not because I lost.

I was in the last round of the Gwent tourney on my first playthrough and had played an extremely good northern realms game. I was ahead, but the score was very close and I didn’t have a ton left. Then he drew a card (can’t remember which) that was going to cause one of those crazy monster deck point explosions… and he played it on the one exactly wrong row. Next round, same thing, could have played the card on any row except one and won, and he played it on the wrong row again.

My only guess to this day is that there’s some internal trigger that if the player scores enough points on their end during that tourney, the NPC will try to throw the game if they can.

I was so annoyed that I almost reloaded a save just to do it again, as I felt cheated by being given the win

Anyone who really liked Gwent needs to play Thronebreaker. A simple RPG with even better Gwent and card puzzles. I loved the game. I play it about once a year. Just in case you don't know, it is a game that takes place in the Witcher universe. It is lore accurate.

I am doing a long overdue replay right now, and Northern Realms has always been the best deck from what I can remember. Just got to Kaer Morhen and about to go to Isle of Mists, so I should be close to finishing the Collect em All achievement.

Unless I messed up and forgot a missable card in early game. Oh shite, I think I might have

I don't know much about the expansion cards or the Skellige deck since I didn't have the 2 DLCs on my last playthrough. Looking forward to playing through these and MOAR Gwent.
