Nope, just saying it's silly to compare these 2 games simply because they both have giant robots.
And for as popular as it is to hate on COD these days, Infinity Ward of the past were a great development studio. Now, they are a ghost (ha!) of their former selves.
These days I'm more of a single player guy, so I would possibly buy X over Titanfall, but I'd need to buy a Wii U first.

I just watched the game play for the 1st time (yes I know I'm late to the party) and it looks excellent. This looks like one of those games that will have a cult following if the gameplay lives up to the hype.
I will be purchasing this on the PC at release!

Yep and so is the other poster that originally said X would be a better mech game.
Like Die said it's silly to even compare the two just because they have mechs. Two different game types outside of that.

Only because their parents won't buy them a WiiU to let sit and collect dust like 90% of the Wiis did after the novelty wore off.

Even if their parents did buy them a WiiU, they'd probably still play TitanFall more often because it's a game where you shoot at things and, presumably, not a story-focused RPG.

I do know that I will definitely enjoy X over TitanFall, but that's to be expected. I like RPGs way more than I like FPS (game doesn't look at childish or kiddish though. In any way).

That's probably a big reason as well, but I still don't think that kids would prefer to read walls of text when they can shoot things.

I don't really see it. I can't imagine what you think of other games in the genre that are actually classified as more childish. Most would put this and Xenoblade as more adult and mature games.

I'm not knocking it or anything because to each their own but it's not my style of game. I just think it looks like anime and I never even saw the appeal of anime.
