If it is indeed a Warriors/botw hybrid there could be something there.

If it's just another Warriors game disguised as a prequel I'll be disappointed.

They didn't even announce the game until 2 months before its release date. Prepare to be disappointed

I heard the original Hyrule Warriors was fun. My 13 year old liked the trailer so I'm sure we'll be getting this.

I enjoyed it. It gets a little repetitive but I found myself trying to unlock all the characters and weapons. Worth $60? Maybe?

Pretty much has to be this. That's the whole Hyrule Warriors "series", which I only put in quotes because it's been the same game released like 8 times I think.

I finally downloaded the demo for this one. The original HW sat in my Switch case for a couple of years, and it pales in comparison to Age of Calamity.

Played through the demo and picked up the full game. It's really engaging.

The first one was, but this is BotW on steroids.

AND NO WEAPON DURABILITY!

It uses the BotW engine instead of re-skinned Dynasty Warriors mechanics.

The scale of battles being much larger than BotW was what I was referencing. It's pretty damned epic.

Give the demo a spin. You can import your save data from the demo into the full version (which EVERY game in the history of ever should do, but it seems that few actually do).

The game is pretty fun.

It gets a little repetitive, but the combat system is a lot of fun and I love the differentiation between the first 16 heroes.

Just because it looks like BoTW doesn't mean it uses the engine. Christ

Fine, it looks like it was pulled straight from BotW.

Bask in your victory.

I need to get back into this. My oldest enjoyed this game for a bit but then we moved on to other games and let it fall by the wayside. Happy for this bump today.
