What were some of your favorite codes?

I had a Gameshark for N64, PS1, and PS2. I used them a ton.

Big bulky cartridge that you inserted another big bulky cartridge into.
What was life back then?

I loved my game genie and my game shark. I remember playing resident evil 2 or 3 and the gameshark code was sub machine rocket launcher. Throw on God mode with it. Mass destruction everywhere.
I think game genie had a code for punch out for unlimited stars. I'm not sure though.

Growing up I only used the Game Genie for the NES. I felt like you had to back then because the games were so insanely hard. Getting infinite lives in some of those games were a godsend.
Also fun fact: sometimes I would use the Game Genie and NOT use codes. Sometimes the damn game would work better if it was in the Game Genie thing ha!

Memorizing codes in Walmart because you didn’t want to buy a new code book is a struggle no modern child will ever understand

Game genie with twisted metal 3 would give you alternate character info screen and picture. The one for the Flower Power car was of the chick from behind and looking up her skirt a bit.
12 year old me fricking loved that game genie.

I remember if you used the Game Genie with Mega Man 2 it would mess up all the music in the game. My parents loved that one.

Never got to use it on Ninja Gaiden
That game consumed me in my youth, but I could never beat it. Then, after months of soul crushing deaths, cursing, thrown controllers, and nagging from the now ex-wife, I finally defeated the Demon Sculpture to end the 20 year quest...
