Hogwarts services Ireland, Scotland, and England. It is odd that it's as diverse as it is, because those areas were not especially diverse

Damn I wish my PC ran this better.. still not bad with Med/High settings on 1440p with a RTX 2070 and i5-9600K (No Ray tracing on obviously).
Noticeably worse outside the castle though… didn’t see crazy difference going all the way to Low for everything so I just turned a lot of the CPU and VRAM intensive settings to medium and left most everything else at high.
I heard the newest Nvidia drivers make the game run worse?? I have the ones from late January.

5 hours in it’s not quite grabbing me as it has most of you. I fricking hate the map of Hogwarts it’s so damn big and confusing and they give you a 3D map that shows nothing. And I don’t know if it’s the sound it makes or what but walking around spamming revelio to find the pages gives me a headache after about an hour to where I have to put the game on mute when exploring.
Witcher 3 took about 10 hours and 2 tries for it to grab me but once it did it became my favorite game of all time so I’ll keep trudging along

Don’t use the Hogwarts map to navigate on your own; it’s useless. However, it’s extremely useful if you set a point of interest and then let the map guide your path with the dots. If you’re just exploring, explore. But if you’re trying to get somewhere, track the quest/set a point.
As for pages, if you haven’t noticed, there’s generally the flicker of a page outline every few seconds if there is a hidden page. Just look for that instead of spamming.

I wouldn’t focus too much on the revelio in the first few hours. Just play the game and get a few things established. Focus on story anyway. It helps you get more spells that will help the exploring.
That said, I hate how casting revelio makes you stop walking. And I agree that the chime of the field guide pages is a bit annoying when trying to track one down.
Sometimes they are on different levels in the same spot. But it’s part of it.
But you know what isn’t part of it!
I think one of the flying pages in the library annex is glitched and unobtainable
I have 19/20 and when I stand in the second level at the water fountain in front of library I’m able to hear the chime in revelio, but there’s nothing to be found. I looked up guides and have them all. I thinks it’s one of the flying books in that room which didn’t log. Very annoying, especially for a completionist like myself

There some situations where the mini maps helps show specific missions area in purple. But most the time no mini map is good

It's the world we live in now. Anything put in Europe or the US, no matter the time period, must now have representation of all races and at least one gay or trans character (and they generally have to be portrayed in a positive light).
I’m kinda worried that the main bad guy is from the group that controls all the banking and media in Harry Potter world
I thought we weren’t allowed to say anything about them

I've learned to ignore the 3D map because the list of wings and rooms on the left is interactive, so if I know I need to get to (say) the Potions classroom, I can click the wing names on the left until I see Potions Classroom and then just fast travel by clicking the name of where I want to go.
To get all of the fast travel points, I did have to go to the 3D map long enough to set a waypoint to each greyed out fast travel point and follow the dotted path on the minimap until I got to it.

Did we ever confirm that some houses have more quests with them? Because someone was saying they’ve done the second trial and are still on 33% while I haven’t even done the second yet but I’m at 40
Just to follow back up on this: I just booted up the game to look, and I'm at 46% quest completion, and I'm not even close to wanting to tackle the second trial yet. If I'm ballparking, I'll probably be around 60%+ quest completion before I do.
But that's just how I generally go about playing games. Series like Mass Effect have trained me that you don't do main quests until you've completed every side quest in sight

Now, HL locks major "world traversal/interaction" powers behind main quests, so you have to push past those points. But once you're there? I'm certainly in no hurry.

I’m a slytherin and most of the house quests involve smashing the libs and bullying gay kids

I just want them to fix the fog issue. I had a brief stint after fast traveling where the fog bug didn't happen and frick did it look incredible.

I"m not sure on this anymore. One of the biggest reasons people were saying this was looking at the achievements for the houses and like ravenclaw didn't have a companion one, so they assumed that the companion quest lines weren't part of ravenclaw, but that wasn't true.
There may be some differences still, not entirely sure, but the initial reasoning was not correct.

a game and universe about a FAKE MAGIC SCHOOL is immersion breaking by the black and gay characters.
You have issues.
