I do not care about any of this stuff but I just thought of something. Isn't this opening up stuff to make Role Playing games even more in depth? Just lets everyone be whoever (is it whom?) they want to be.

Or even worse, if they allow you to change pronoun sets of non-created characters. If you want your Master CHief to be LGbtQ, they'll allow it.

Why would a person refer to your pronouns when talking to you? Do people often refer to you in the third person when conversing directly with you?
And as far as listening in on cutscenes where your character is referenced, it's just easier to say "they" in games that allow you to pick because then they only have to record one set of lines.

Books are amazing. Movies went to complete crap after the 4th one. Never saw a video game that looked remotely interesting.
And I'll echo that this isn't a feature that would bother me at all even if I did play the game. I'm sure a lot of games are doing it now anyways. The only reason this is news is because Rowling had been on the war path against trans.
