i've played 3 complete games and I have had at least 5 balls just go up as lame ducks after barely being touched

First year since the game came out that I won't buy it. Madden looks ridiculous...I'll just wait.

Same here, I'm going the Madden route this year because of the noticable changes to Madden, and the lack of upgrade from NCAA 09 to 2010. I haven't bought NCAA in like 10 years, so it's really a struggle to not go get the damn game, but I'm fighting the temptation until August 14th.

Just picked it up Tuesday around 6pm. Started Colorado dynasty without proper rosters. Gameplay is better. Watch my impact DB manhandle Colorado State impact WR up and down the field...

I give it a 94/100...

They should trash this Teambuilder business and just have the top 32 online players "Showdown" at the end of the season..Would have given it a 100/100 but the roster situation for people without or who don't care about online is a mess.

I felt the same, so I rented it from Blockbuster instead. To me, there's not enough difference from '09 to warrant the pricetag. It's not a bad game, per se, it's just not as good as it should be by now.

I thought 09 was pretty bad, but I can't say I agree with the sentiment that it 10 is not different. The gameplay is unquestionably smoother, the angle the game is presented at is completely different and more realistic, they introduced an entirely brand new viewpoint with the defensive lock thing which I personally love, running the ball effectively sets up play action, there aren't superhuman feats left and right, etc. I personally think this is the biggest year to year jump this franchise has seen since the halcyon days of 05. I've only played like 4 games, so we'll see how it stands the test of time, but as of right now I'm a big fan.

Yes, it's smoother, but not $60 smoother. I do like the new camera angle, but the game physics are still retarded. There's still suction blocking. Fullbacks still wander around the field on certain run plays. QB's can still throw lasers off their back foot across the field. Presentation and commentary is almost exactly the same. Dynasty is exactly the same. Campus Legend has Erin Andrews every now and then but, gameplay wise, is exactly the same.

We do ask alot for what we want in games. That is why I say they should stick to football. Yeah add a feature here or there, but this Teambuilder time and space on the disk could have gone to something else.
Or break the game into two or three different games...If you want to create a player and go through 4-5 years cool, I want to build a UL-Lafayette or some 119 rank team into a contender.

I always have it on mute. I've found the pass rush and run blocking to be infinitesimally better, but to each his own.

I agree with you. If people enjoy NCAA 10, that's great. I'm not going to knock them. I was just giving my thoughts of why I don't care for it.

Another thing that happened to me last night that was weird was a CB made a no-look INT. His back was to the ball, I lobbed it and he jumped straight up, no look, and made the pick. Who knew San Jose State had such ballers?

Infinitesimally? Yes. Exceedingly small improvements were made.

*shrug* Maybe I suck enough that what you see as minimal and small I see as infinitesimal.

85/100

I'm a huge teambuilder guy and the created teams look great on the game. Now if they had only told us about account linking beforehand I wouldn't have to recreate most my teams . But the gameplay seems to be a big step forward imho. although it is insane they managed to release another game w/o working sliders. hopefully it will get patched and help with robo QB.

anyone had to try to defend the CPU's 2 minute drill yet?

No lie. I was up 28-7. Kodi Burns takes Auburn down the field 2x with maybe 1 incompletetion, straight West Cost Offense. All I could do is laugh...

I had that happen too but they didn't end up scoring. He finished the game 12-20 and was pretty ineffective, but it seemed like every time I attempted any sort of blitz, they got a big gain.
