This has been one of my favorite games on the console.
Ive been working on platinum while waiting for the expansion to come out.
The fighting and slicing up people is just really satisfying.

It looked like a ps5 game on the PS4 pro. They really added a lot of stuff here outside of the main content. All new controller layouts, you can new toggle enemy lock on even though it felt weird to me so I left it off, you can hide your bow and quiver on your back. There’s 70ish new items under the collections tab. 2 new mythic tales which I know everyone enjoyed those in the main game. Other quality of life improvements come but I won’t post them as they’re quest rewards

And just one last thing for those contemplating doing this before finishing the main game you cannot fast travel off Iki Island until you’re roughly 2/3 done with the main quest line there

Thought dlc was supposed to be longer. Is 5 hours confirmed? I'm gonna restart the whole game anyway cuz it's been a while

It took me roughly 10 hours to do everything on the island including all the little one off map markers. There’s a lot more variety here than 50 fox dens though. Also I was playing on lethal + and died a lot especially to 3 specific bosses. I imagine lowered difficulty not trying to 100% complete or could do it in 5 hours pretty comfortably

Sorry for the late response, but I upgraded from the PS4 version to the PS5 directors cut version. It came up as 29.95 for me. Was pretty easy. There is a “transfer your PS4 save” on the main title list. I did play the opening mission on the PS5 version prior to updating my save and the looks, controller haptics, and sound is easily an upgrade. I plan to finish act 2 before hitting the expansion.

Yeah something no ones mentioned yet is the ability to replay missions and duels which is cool

Has anyone noticed any alterations in the main game as this is titled as a directors cut it implies that imo. I haven’t done too much of it other than playing through the main story plot of calling the shogun for reinforcements and the end of act two

But i noticed it tracks the fox dens and stuff now. I dont think it did that before.
Okay so a quick look and i saw something about directors commentary. I think its just a play on movies. You are getting extended scenes or story missions not in the original and some comments from the director.
Or think of the expansion as deleted scenes that werent in the theater release.

I just got it all installed. I'm 15 minutes in and this is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. I'm on ps5 with it but what a send off for the ps4 too

I had no idea this game existed until I got my PS5. I’m about 40% through Act II. The time just flys by playing this. This is one of my favorites all time.

This game really shines on the ps5. I played through once last gen and I decided to do a full playthrough for the directors cut. It has a few open world tropes but overall I really enjoy this game.

I just dumped 5 hours into it and had a blast. Did a few story missions and explored for a while. My ocd is going to make me play very slowly because I don't want to miss anything or leave an area undiscovered

I just hopped off and I logged over 7 hours. I did the same thing, the upgrades are easy if you’re just exploring and doing all the side tales.

This was the first game in awhile I spent a good bit of time finding a lot of the extra exploration stuff. It was varied enough to keep it interesting
They’re gonna make me get this expansion to replay this
