Game play looks like ...well looks like Gears but goddamm is it pretty. Seems like 6 years into this generation and developers are just starting to show us what what they can really do with these machines.

I saw on Twitter that here was a last minute decision to pull support for PlayStation. Was that true?

Yes. Will be console exclusive to Xbox, still launching on PC/Steam

Gears is a guilty pleasure. My mind tells me that its a rehash, but I'll end up playing it anyway.

It looks like they have at least tried to add some new movement features but yea Im not seeing a lot that differentiates from the core gameplay of the other games. I guess you've tired of them. I have somewhat as well., but just getting to see and fight in a Sera city getting torn apart by the locust invasion has an appeal.

Yeah im in for this alone. I gave negative fricks about the 4 and 5 stories, glad they wised up and gave us a compelling narrative again

Even if it wasn't on Gamepass, this had a 0% chance of touching that. With Gamepass and no PS5, this will be lucky to break 4M units sold

I love the Gears games. They're all solid imo. Didn't care for the "open world" aspects of the most recent one. Hopefully they don't try to replicate that.
