Had my first ever simultaneous kill tonight. It was bizarre. I also had a decent squad clear. They were bad though.

You should have had to create an account on Epic's website. I tried to send you an Epic friend request since I'm on PS4 but it didn't go through. You can add me though. Bigdaddy-4life2

Yeah, you're not the first person who has tried to add me and not found me. Let me try to see if I can get into Epic and see what it is (or if I can change it).

My kids play on PS4 and the Epic account is really strange... you don't see it anywhere on the PS4 interface with Fortnite. All you see anywhere is the PSN Login name.
But the Epic name is the name you need to use when connecting with folks cross platform.

Exactly. I don't ever remember registering any sort of name with Epic. I looked into it a bit and it seems like you don't have to, and when you sign up it gives you a "nameless" account or something like that. So I went to Epic and tried to link my account with my XBL account, and it says I already have one linked to it. The help section isn't great, so I contacted them and haven't heard anything back yet.
Seems stupid, but I do think it's cool that you can play with people across platforms though. That is pretty awesome and a long time coming.

Right. You'll have your PS4 friends listed first and below that your Epic friends. A lot of people have the same name for both but I have friends who appear on both lists because their PS4 username is different from their Epic username

Can’t tonight man. Usually when we play it’s between maybe 5-8 or so during the week, and hit or miss on weekends. I can usually only get on a couple/few nights a week.

My son wanted to change over to keyboard/mouse and asked for those items from Santa. We had a couple of hiccups but eventually we got him going.
He plays on PS4 so we were having trouble figuring out a way for him to sit on a couch in front of the TV to play with these peripherals...
I ended up making him a custom table that he can put both items in front of himself in a comfortable position. I still need to add some angle bracket supports to make it a little more sturdy but he is pumped. Now he needs to spend time practicing.
Thought I would share my results so far...
P.S. Yes, we have a really junky upstairs game and toy room... hahaha

extremely frustrating night last night. got 2 2nds in solos (one of them, the guy had 3HP left), then kept getting thirsted in squads

My kids spend ALOT of time up there playing with toys and playing the Wii and PS4.
It's cold season and they are also all little snot factories.
My wife has boxes of tissue all over our house for quick responses to messy sneezes.
