So the added benefit is that you can now simultaneously run the xbox interface with the tv and not physically have to change tv inputs. I just don't see how that is a benefit.

This could have been great if it was 5 years ago before iphones and ipads but now we have so many damn things that give us access to whatever we need that this just seems like overkill. I would also never use the kinect to "change to ESPN" but maybe I am in the minority.

Don't HAVE to have a PS4 to play Destiny ... it's cross platform.

I wonder if I hook up my PS4 to my XBONE, would I be able to tell my XBONE to play my PS4

As always, I'll only buy the consoles for the exclusives if they are appealing.

I won't touch either of them until the price drop, but if I had to guess ill be on ps4 more.

I'm a Halo fanboy so I'll get XBone for that purpose.

I'm a Bungie fanboy so I'll get PS4 to play Destiny.

I will probably lose my gf, job, etc., in the process.

if the market shifts which can very well happen
Sony didn't do near enough to shift the market with this gen. I really don't even think they came out ahead of Microsoft at this point. Their exclusives are very meh outside of about 2.

Xbox. Halo is going to be the single factor why I will always play Xbox more than play station (even though I think the play station 3 is far superior to the Xbox)

Being able to instantly switch from gaming to TV to web surfing with a simple voice command ? How can you NOT see that as a benefit ?

I can currently switch from gaming to tv by clicking a button on a remote. I can look at the internet the entire time on my phone or ipad or computer. Trying to surf the internet on your tv will be a big disaster not to mention much more difficult.

Like I said in my post, this would have been a decent idea before they made phones and ipads and everything else. I don't need to tell my tv to go to tigerdroppings.com when i can easily do it on 15 other devices.
