I'm seven minutes in and I find nothing wrong with the voice acting. It's no better or worse than anything you'll find in Battlefield or CoD. It's no LA Noire, but they're revolutionizing shite at Rockstar.

I re-watched some of it...I think you are right, I think it is the writing that put me off.

A little cheesey, yes. I wish the player would have moved the camera while in the bus. It seems like he missed some good stuff off to the side. Hearing that little kid cry was awful.
It looks like a CoD single player so far. Pretty much what I expected.

The opening sequence in that video reminds me of the intro to the movie The Kingdom...and a little of the propaganda spoofs that were in Starship Troopers.
