Haven’t made it there yet, but the game has been amazing. I’m like 6 hours in and just got done with the Jess stuff. Writing and voice acting are great. Soundtrack 11/10. Combat 10/10.

I just finished all the quests in chapter 8. I’m making sure I knock all of them out before moving on in the story. I noticed I got a discovery when I did it for chapter 3.

Looking at the original, I see this being in 3 installments, with the one just released being the first.
Part 2 => Kalm through Mideel/Cloud and Tifa in the Lifestream. Final Boss is not Ultimate Weapon, but rather someone in Cloud's head (Cloud/Tifa and maybe a guest character are the party members)
Part 3 => Junon Underwater Reactor through Endgame. Final Boss Sephiroth and Jenova in about 8-10 phases.
I see a lot of the overworld travel being cut out in favor of extended quests to get Chocobos and the Airship.
I also see meeting Yuffie VERY early in part 2.
I also see very few side quests unless they want to stretch it out to 6 games.

The Airbuster? Lightning the shite out of it and the detached hands and you'll stagger it quickly.
When you stagger it, it has no armor and each hit does almost double damage.

Game has exceeded every expectation I've had of it. While it has some goofy issues like door textures in the Section 7 Slums, the extra time you get with the cast is so refreshing. It really has helped flesh out each person.

Yeah I was using lightning but that big beam attack kept rocking Tifa and Cloud. I played primarily as Barrett. Constant healing lol. Wasn’t too bad though, beat it first try.

What all items did y'all choose to dispose of before Air Buster? That shite gave me anxiety because I didn't know if I was making the optimal choices.
Anyone else finished it yet? I want to hear everyone's theories on the ending/story.

I remember I got rid of two big bombs and also one of the AI things that made it move slower. Can't remember what else.

First few phases keep using Tifas Unbridled Strength to stagger and Elemental/lightning combo on clouds weapon.
Make sure Tifa and Cloud both have lightning Materia to spam during the last phase and Barret w/ Gatling Gun for focused shot - that second weapon he gets sucks for this

I'm in the Don corneo part right now. Going with the madame M quests. The hell house boss fight took me like 45 minutes.
I went in with no blizzard materia equipped.
Btw, is there All materia in this game or is it only that chain element materia that attacks multiple with lesser effect?
