If you buy digital and preload can you start playing at midnight on release day or is there a delay?

Everything else I've played recently digital (RDR2, FFXV, etc) has been preloaded about a week or so before the release, and has unlocked as early as 10pm the night before and the latest 1am day of.

I'm not waiting for a few reasons
First and foremost it reminds of of the demo disc for FF7 back in 1997. I have a great memory hanging out in Gameforce Central HQ and playing that demo (Same thing for MGS) for hours on end. It just blew me away and this feels like a throwback to those days when the demo had its own mystique.

not long at all. did a No Encounters run so I was very underleveled, which makes all the enemies and bosses underleveled. threw on Zombie and Protect to prevent his Terra Break from killing me, then whipped his mfn arse.
most miserable and time consuming part was grinding the 1000 kills trophy. since i didnt kill very many enemies during the story, it took a while
and yeah, decided im not gonna play at all. waiting another month will be a joke with Ori 2, Nioh 2, and Doom this month

It took me forever, since I was LV 100. I had to turn battle speed all the way down and spam Zell's Head Butt/Booyah like 1000 times. It was not fun at all.

FFVIII is a blast for me, this was my first low-level run. game over once you have 100 Ultimas on STR for each character

The demo is literally about an hour long if that. It's not one of those 3-5 hour long trial things.
