For those of you who don't like spoilers this is a warning to be careful out there on social media. The game has leaked in its entirety and there will no doubt be YouTube videos popping up over the next few days telling us about the content found in the game. I wish Square Enix would just go ahead and drop the game on the PS Store as most hard copy deliveries of the game are going to be delayed anyway due to the Chinese Coronavirus.

Anyways...this is your warning to stay away from spoilers.

It's not really a faithful remake. It is a completely different game besides a few parts. Everything else is different/new.

The main story line beats will be the same but there tons of new side quests and subplots they've introduced.

Lol wut..it's extremely faithful to the original. They kept nearly everything in the original and added new stuff on top of it.

Isn’t the game supposed to be split into two releases?

If so, where will the first release/episode end at?

I’d be shocked if it’s only two releases

This one ends when the party leaves midgar

Yep it'll be 3 parts for sure.

Part two is sure to conclude when you know who gets who know what'd.

When Sephiroth gets exposed by Hojo's cannon?

When Lucretia is mercy killed by Vincent?

When the materia is stolen by Yuffie?

Where do you gather this from? Everywhere I've read have said the game is a lot different than the original Midgar. For one, it's much more expansive from what we've seen, and Sephiroth is in the picture way earlier.

You realize that this:

agrees with what he is saying.

I'm not sure how they could have expanded the game but remained any more faithful than they already have.

No one completely knows, but Honeybee is absolutely there. Featured in this trailer for the theme song of the game. LINK

I saw a preview guide of the game at the bookstore. Honeybee was shown as a minigame of some sort.

Also darts will be a minigame, found that interesting.

Well, from all accounts I've seen, it seems like the story has been totally altered. Not sure how that's exactly 'faithful' but whatever you say lol.

Just because they added new things doesn't mean it's not a "faithful" remake. Did you not notice the attention to deta in the demo? Even down to talking to Biggs to open the first door, then talking to Jessie to open the second. The placement of the enemies was the same, as well as the basic layout of the reactor.

Unless you consider things that were done in Before Crisis and Crisis Core as total altered, I don't see how you arrive at that point. Adding things doesn't totally alter what was already there.

Thankfully, we'll know for sure very soon. Less than two weeks!

This was leaked months back as well. The full script has been out for awhile.

The demo is very faithful. The rest not so much.
I guess it depends on your definition of "faithful" The main story is still there.

But I saw all of the leaks. There is lots of additions that change how the story will be viewed. Fundamentally changing the story even if the bones of it are all still there.

Did you not notice the black ghost things flying everywhere in the trailers at least?

Yes there is a difference between a remake and a remaster.

The developers have mentioned several times they have made changes to keep the game fresh for players that played the original.
